Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Develop and optimise data processing solutions using Python and SQL.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure high levels of data quality and integrity.
• Design and maintain data models and schemas that support analytics and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data infrastructure performance.
• Support cloud-based data initiatives and modern data architecture projects.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and performance optimisation.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 4+ years' experience in a Data Engineering or similar role.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or ClickHouse.
• Experience working within cross-functional and collaborative technical environments.

Skills:

• Strong Python development skills for data processing and pipeline development.
• Advanced SQL querying, transformation, and optimisation capabilities.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and schema design principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
