About the role
We are looking for a Senior Data Developer (Engineer) to help establish the data foundation for Contact Distributor, Intact’s new platform for broker and distributor master data. The platform will replace fragmented legacy sources including the Halcion and Classic mainframes, Microsoft Access databases and Excel-based tools with a trusted, governed view of brokerages, broker codes and organizational hierarchies.
As a key member of the initial product squad, you will play a hands-on role in profiling, cleansing, migrating and integrating legacy data. You will also help embed data quality, governance and operational reliability into the product from day one. You will work in a self-managed, cross-functional product team alongside a Tech Lead, software engineers, architects, business experts and a Product Owner.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior data engineer who can independently design, build and operate production-grade data pipelines. You are comfortable working with incomplete information, validating assumptions against real data, taking ownership from discovery through production support, and challenging decisions constructively. You bring ideas forward and collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
