Opportunity Description – Senior Analyst, Data & Analytics

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join a team providing quantitative decision support for a large-scale broadband network. This is a highly analytical role focused on designing and executing analysis, rather than traditional data pipeline development.

The ideal candidate will be able to take ambiguous business and engineering questions, translate them into structured analytical approaches, and independently execute the analysis across large, complex operational datasets. They will be responsible for identifying trends, performing root cause analysis, evaluating network changes and field trials, and connecting technical findings to measurable business impact.

This is a SQL-heavy environment, with complex queries across large datasets serving as the primary analytical tool. Strong SQL expertise is essential, with experience in AWS Athena, S3, or similar cloud-based analytics platforms preferred. Python or other scripting experience is a plus.

The team is also looking for individuals who are comfortable incorporating AI into their analytical workflows. Experience using tools such as Claude or other AI platforms to accelerate analysis, automate processes, or enhance analytical outputs is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute pre/post evaluations for network configuration changes and field trials.
• Conduct root cause analysis around equipment, infrastructure, and network health trends.
• Analyze large, multi-source operational datasets using complex SQL.
• Synthesize findings across multiple concurrent engineering programs.
• Translate technical analysis into clear, concise, executive-ready narratives and presentations.
• Identify trends and connections within complex or ambiguous datasets.
• Apply experimental methodologies including hypothesis testing, control groups, and difference-in-differences.
• Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to understand questions and translate them into actionable insights.
• Independently manage analytical workstreams and operate with minimal oversight.
• Leverage AI tools and techniques to improve analytical workflows and output.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong Senior-level analytical experience with advanced SQL.
• Proven ability to independently structure and solve ambiguous analytical problems.
• Experience working with large, complex, multi-source datasets.
• Strong data storytelling and executive communication skills.
• Experience with AWS Athena, S3, or comparable cloud analytics platforms.
• Python or scripting experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools and practical AI adoption is highly desirable.
• Understanding of experimental design, hypothesis testing, control groups, or difference-in-differences.
• Telecom, broadband, networking, or infrastructure experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong ability to ramp quickly in technical environments and connect insights across multiple workstreams.
• Comfortable operating independently and “running their own show.”
