Senior Consultant / Project Manager - Energy

The Roland Berger Amsterdam DNA

Roland Berger is a global strategy consulting firm that assists clients to grow and adapt to the challenges of today. Founded in 1967 in Munich, we are one of the leading representatives of our industry, with more than 50 offices and 3,500 dedicated colleagues around the world.

Our young, dynamic and fast-growing office in Netherlands employs 120 consultants and supporting colleagues. We are proud of the close-knit culture within our Amsterdam office. We are creative, dedicated, ambitious, entrepreneurial and passionate - and at the same time social, energetic, open-minded and respectful. We help each other to bring out the best in each other and the best for our clients. Besides our client work, we foster our office culture through many social activities together, from sports and drinks to office trips and celebrations of holidays.

What we offer

Your success is our success. We offer plenty of opportunities for development, (inter)national training courses and a mentor to support your development. In addition, we offer excellent benefits, including 30 days of vacation, transportation benefits, a non-contributory pension and a contribution to your health insurance.

What you will be doing

You will collaborate closely with partners and (senior) colleagues specializing in energy and contribute to high-impact projects that help shape the future energy landscape. With a strong sustainability angle, our projects bridge the gap between public and private interests in the energy transition.

Covering the full energy value chain from renewable project development (offshore wind, hydrogen, solar, biogas) to guidance on energy retail strategies, regulatory frameworks, and grid development, we drive solutions at every stage.

Our team brings deep sector knowledge and a pragmatic approach to help clients navigate complex challenges and seize opportunities in a rapidly evolving energy system. At Roland Berger we differentiate ourselves by listening carefully to our clients and working intensively with them on tailor-made solutions.

On your first day you can already have a real impact, since you will be working with clients from all over an organization and often will report to senior management. You will discover abundant opportunities for advancing your professional growth as you navigate through challenging and rewarding projects.

As a Senior Consultant / Project Manager at Roland Berger you will:

• Take the lead for modules in larger projects, and complete project management of smaller projects (typically leading three to five consultants).
• Coach and develop the consultants in your project teams.
• Have direct client contact and lead presentations during client meetings.
• Work closely with industry experts at Roland Berger.
• Contribute to Roland Berger’s knowledge development by capturing insights and drawing lessons from client work.
• Participate in office-wide projects (e.g. in-depth studies on current topics) that further develop Roland Berger or its thinking in a specific area or sector.
