Designs and operates Remitly's AWS cloud foundation, including networking, infrastructure tooling, and Go services, ensuring reliability and security at scale for global money transfers.
About the Role:
The Cloud Team designs, builds, and operates Remitly's AWS cloud foundation - the networking fabric and infrastructure tooling that every product team depends on. We manage cloud infrastructure at significant scale (hundreds to thousands of accounts), move money for millions of customers, and treat reliability, security, and operational excellence as non-negotiable.
This is not an ops or tooling-configuration role: we need engineers who can design and build scalable systems and services, not just apply Terraform.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will own deep parts of our cloud and networking stack, ship high-quality Go services, and build internal abstractions that reduce cognitive load for the broader engineering org.
