What does Access offer you?

We offer a blended approach to office working, encouraging you to collaborate and connect in one of our thriving offices. We deliver on what we say, taking the development of our people seriously. We’ll work with you to progress your success plan and provide opportunities to accelerate your career.

Tradify is a real Kiwi technology success story – more than 14,000 tradies around the world depend on us to help them succeed in their business and life goals. Giving our customers an amazing experience is at the heart of what we do, and we’re doing a pretty great job so far.

So we need a super-smart, super-passionate and super-on-to-it person to oversee and drive our product development teams’ projects at Tradify. Someone who wants to focus on making a massive difference in the business and daily lives of an awesome and massively underserved user base. Basically this means getting a great understanding of what our product strategy and roadmap is, and ensuring the product development teams work closely, collaboratively and efficiently to ship great experience and create value to the business.

So we need a new super-smart, super-passionate and super-on-to-it person to both drive and join-in the product development and UX practice that is responsible for delivering the Tradify product experience and supports other parts of the business. Basically this means getting a great understanding of what our product strategy and roadmap is, and ensuring the product development teams work closely, collaboratively and efficiently to ship great experience and create value to the business. Oh and you also get to define detailed specifications, and work closely with the engineering team to deliver the solutions too.

Do you want to be participating in one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Australasia? Do you want a job that goes deeper than simply managing sprints and schedules with limited scope and minimal impact? Not only will you be owning the process for delivery, you’ll also be responsible for building a positive and productive team culture. You’ll then be able to collaborate with, support and educate a team of friendly people focussed on doing something world-class. You’ll be living and breathing Tradify’s goals and culture on a daily basis, ensuring everyone is armed with information, support and plans for shipping an amazing product.

If you thrive on being a team leader, thinking tactically to deliver on strategy, with a relentless pursuit on helping create awesome experiences, and ultimately helping people succeed, you’re gonna fit right in. In a typical day, you might do some of the following:

● Kick off the morning with coffee and a catch-up with a diverse range of team members.

● Have a pow-wow with the Chief Product Officer to discuss how a new feature will deliver on our strategic objectives for the business.

● Have a chat with Research and Insights about results from a previous feature roll-out to see how successful it was.

● Bring together a team working on a new feature to discuss the status of work and how it relates to the original vision for the product.

● Set the plan and direction for a cycle of work, and plan the necessary launch activities needed for release.

What is a Cycle you say? Glad you asked!

● We work in what we call Cycles, which can last for a given amount of time - like 6 weeks. Each cycle has a dedicated team to design, develop and test solutions that have been recommended to the business by Product Managers. You'll be responsible for setting the objective for a cycle, and pitching in to ensure the work is productive and efficient and delivers to Tradify’s high standard. You’ll also be planning releases and activations, planning launch activities, designing tracking and analytics, and validating any experimental aspects of the cycle.

You’re going to be a great fit for this job if you:

● Have a bachelor's degree plus several years experience in project management, business analysis, information architecture or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

● Extensive experience of leading and motivating design and development practices within a UX design or digital product or services company.

● Have a great understanding of the concepts of product development, and user experience design as they relate to digital product and service design.

● Have a foundation of software engineering fundamentals such as database models, and software architecture.

● Love coordinating and planning work, orchestrating teams to do amazing things.

● Enjoy participating in a high performance team-oriented environment to deliver sophisticated digital solutions.

● Can serve as a subject matter expert as well as coach others in project management, delivery and release planning and launch activity.

● Are highly organised with great attention to detail.

● Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.

● Believe that tradies do important work and that supporting them to success is an awesome job.

● Want to do work that improves other people’s lives, but also believe it should be fun.

We’re a team of 40 friendly & diverse people who work and play hard, but we’re growing rapidly, and this role is going to grow too. You’ll report directly to the Chief Product Officer, but beyond that you’ll be working across a pretty flat team where everyone shares the same purpose and pitches in as needed.

You’ll have the unique opportunity to play a critical role in a Kiwi success story, and build on your skills and talents as we grow. For the right candidate, we offer competitive remuneration, a great, spacious office in the heart of Up Town, dedicated parking spots, a souped-up machine, and a great working-environment with monthly team lunches and Friday-night drinks, and plenty of interesting things in-between.
