The Opportunity

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll turn complex data into actionable insights that shape business strategy and drive measurable results. You’ll combine analytical rigor with business curiosity to identify opportunities, test hypotheses, and make recommendations that have a direct impact on revenue, profitability, and customer outcomes.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves asking “why,” digging into the data to find the answer, and translating what they learn into practical strategies. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how we identify and engage customers, optimize lender partnerships, improve products, and grow the business.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Drive data-driven insights and recommendations that inform the strategy, optimization, budgeting, and P&L performance of your business vertical.

• Monitor daily business performance, including lead volumes, revenue, margins, and other key metrics, and identify opportunities to improve results.

• Analyze complex data sets to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities that can improve revenue, customer outcomes, and product performance.

• Develop and evaluate new strategies by combining internal analysis with competitor research and industry insights, then track initiatives and measure their financial impact.

• Build analytical frameworks and models that help optimize company profitability and overall vertical performance.

• Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to turn analysis into actionable strategies that grow the business.

• Use LendingTree’s analytics tools to understand full-funnel performance and identify opportunities across the customer journey.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across Marketing, Sales, Product, and other business partners to identify opportunities and turn insights into action. You’ll also work closely with business leaders and senior stakeholders, translating complex analysis into clear recommendations that support strategic and financial decisions.

This is a highly collaborative role with significant autonomy. You’ll be trusted to own analytical projects from initial question through execution, while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned along the way.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative field.

• 3+ years of experience in analytics, including using data to develop insights and drive business decisions.

• Demonstrated experience managing analytics projects from initiation through execution, including prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and delivery.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python or R, Excel, Tableau or an equivalent data visualization tool, and Snowflake or similar data warehousing technologies.

• Experience working with large-scale, complex consumer data sets and translating analysis into meaningful business recommendations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and develop practical solutions.

• Experience communicating analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in consumer financial services analytics, such as credit cards, personal loans, or small business loans, or a strong understanding of financial consumer products and market trends, is highly desirable.

What Will Help You Thrive

• Strategic thinking: You can identify the business levers that matter most while balancing the details needed to make sound decisions.

• Pragmatism: You know when a problem requires deep analysis and when a simpler 80/20 solution will get the job done.

• Curiosity: You naturally ask questions, test hypotheses, and look for new ways to use data to improve the business.

• Ownership: You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves, diving into the details, and taking a project from idea to execution.

• Proactivity: You can work independently, prioritize effectively, and keep your manager and stakeholders informed without needing constant direction.

• Communication: You can make complex analysis easy to understand and confidently communicate insights and recommendations to senior and C-level leaders.

• Collaboration: You build strong relationships and enjoy working across teams to solve problems and deliver results.

• Competitive spirit: You’re motivated by solving challenging problems and finding opportunities to improve performance.

What Success Looks Like

• Business leaders have clear, data-driven insights that help them make better strategic and financial decisions.

• Key performance metrics are actively monitored, with emerging trends and opportunities identified before they become larger business issues.

• Analytical projects move from questions and hypotheses to actionable recommendations and measurable business outcomes.

• New strategies and initiatives are evaluated rigorously, with their financial and business impact clearly understood.

• Marketing, Sales, Product, and business teams use your analysis to improve customer acquisition, product performance, revenue, and profitability.

• You become a trusted analytical partner to senior leaders and are known for combining strong data skills with sound business judgment.
