Company Overview
BLACKROC is partnering with a leading Australian energy and utilities organisation to recruit a Senior Business Analyst for a critical identity and access management replacement program.
Role Purpose
With the organisation's SAP Identity Management platform approaching end of life, this cyber-focused Senior Business Analyst will lead the analysis behind its replacement: defining the problem and investment case, running market engagement and vendor evaluation, and carrying requirements through to testing and deployment readiness. You'll assess SAP-aligned and non-SAP options on their merits, keeping every recommendation traceable back to business and cyber outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop executive-ready business case inputs covering problem statements, options, costs, benefits, risks and investment justification
- Lead market scans and end-to-end RFI, RFP and RFT activities, including evaluation criteria, weighted scoring, moderation and award recommendations
- Elicit and manage business, functional, non-functional, security and compliance requirements from discovery through delivery
- Map and optimise identity lifecycle processes, including joiner-mover-leaver, provisioning, access requests, recertification and segregation of duties
- Map the end-to-end identity ecosystem across SAP and non-SAP applications, identifying control gaps and cyber risk
- Build a vendor-neutral capability model and assess the existing cyber application footprint for reuse and consolidation
- Facilitate workshops across Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, SAP Platform, audit, risk, procurement and business stakeholders
- Support SIT and UAT, including test scenarios, acceptance criteria, defect triage and deployment readiness
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years in Senior or Technical Business Analyst roles, with substantial delivery in cyber security, IAM or complex enterprise transformation
- Proven track record developing executive-ready business cases
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end RFI, RFP or RFT processes, including weighted scoring, moderation and due diligence
- Strong identity lifecycle process analysis, including joiner-mover-leaver, access request, provisioning and access review
- Ability to assess IAM capabilities across SAP and non-SAP environments and recommend consolidation, reuse or replacement
- Strong governance discipline, including requirements traceability and decision and assumption registers
- Experience contributing to testing, including SIT and UAT support and requirements-to-test traceability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to SAP IDM, SAP IAG, SAP Cloud Identity Services, SAP GRC Access Control, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, Saviynt or CyberArk
- Experience in energy, utilities, critical infrastructure, government or other highly regulated environments
- Previous IAM or IGA replacement program experience
- Knowledge of AES-CSF, SOCI, NIST CSF, ASD ISM, Essential Eight or Zero Trust
- Experience with privileged access, non-person identities, service accounts or emergency access
- Relevant BA, cyber security or identity certifications
