Waitwhile · Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden ·
Here at Waitwhile we're on a mission to eliminate the 1 trillion hours people spend waiting in lines every year. Our platform combines virtual waitlists, scheduling, real-time updates, messaging, and analytics to make access to places, services, and events seamless, online or in person. Trusted by 10,000+ companies, Waitwhile has already helped over 150 million people enjoy a radically better waiting experience. Our clients include IKEA, Louis Vuitton, Costco, Delta Airlines, and thousands more. We’re just getting started, and we need your help.
As a member of our Service Intelligence team, you’ll focus on the backend systems, infrastructure, and data foundations that power Waitwhile at enterprise scale and enable our clients to access valuable insights on their daily operations. You’ll work closely with our CTO and our cross-functional engineering teams, contributing to scalable, high-impact features that improve both our platform and user experience.
This is also where we’re building the foundation for our AI initiatives, working with rich operational data to unlock smarter insights around things like wait times, staffing, and service performance.
Our tech stack includes TypeScript and JavaScript, NodeJS, Firebase, Firestore, BigQuery, Angular, and React, running on Linux in Google Cloud Platform.
While engineers may specialize deeply, Waitwhile increasingly values end-to-end product ownership and cross-stack collaboration as the organization scales. We're open to different backgrounds; what matters most is your drive, problem-solving acumen, and ambition to level up your skills while building something that truly makes a difference.
Our stance on AI: We are forward-leaning and actively leverage AI to boost efficiency, streamline code reviews, and automate repetitive tasks. However, we are not a "vibe coding" shop. We care deeply about software craftsmanship, we look for engineers who take pride in reading, writing, and thoroughly understanding the code they ship.
This position is based in Stockholm at our offices on Kungsgatan 32. We’re a hybrid company and prefer that you work from the office at least 2 days per week, as we believe the best product gets built together, live.
