James Chase is recruiting a Senior Backend Engineer for a London-based contract, initially 6 months, hybrid work, outside IR35. You will build TypeScript/Node.js APIs and port existing C#/.NET logic to a new platform, working closely with a small, high-performing team.
The role emphasizes AI-assisted development using Claude Code, strong API design (REST/GraphQL), and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to delivering robust backend services in a modern, microservice-oriented environment.
