Senior Backend Engineer

You will design and build backend services and APIs, integrate logistics providers for shipping, tracking, fulfillment, and webhooks, and create reliable asynchronous workflows. You will optimize PostgreSQL queries and data models, validate AI-assisted development through reviews and automated tests, and own features from specification through production.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and APIs with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS
• Build integrations with logistics providers for shipping, tracking, fulfillment, and webhooks
• Use AI-assisted development with validation through code review and automated tests
• Design reliable asynchronous workflows with AWS SNS/SQS, including retries, DLQs, and idempotent processing
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL queries, transactions, and data models
• Own features from specification and API contracts through implementation, testing, and production

Requirements

• Production experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• NestJS experience
• Experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations and webhooks
• Understanding of AWS SNS/SQS and asynchronous systems
• PostgreSQL and SQL skills
• Experience with spec-driven AI-assisted development
• Engineering judgment and ownership
