Contract senior backend developer (€350–€380/day, 8–12 months) in Lugo, Spain, building and maintaining Go backend services for financial products. Works in cross-functional teams using Kubernetes on AWS, PostgreSQL, and Kafka, with emphasis on Domain-Driven Design, code quality, and mentoring.
Contract Role: Day Rate: €350-€380 per day, 8-12 month contract
You’ll join a large, distributed backend engineering community and work within cross-functional teams alongside product managers, frontend, and mobile engineers. You’ll play a key role in shaping core financial products, supporting a rapidly growing user base, and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Backend: Go, Frontend: React.Js, Mobile: Kotlin, Swift, Infrastructure: Kubernetes on AWS, Database: PostgreSQL, Messaging & Observability: Kafka, ELK stack, and other modern tools
You’ll join a large Product Engineering organization, structured into small cross-functional teams across multiple domains, including: Customer onboarding, account management, and compliance; Payments and financial operations; Platform systems, integrations, and monetization; Cash flow management and bookkeeping tools; Collaborative accounting and pre-accounting solutions. Each team typically includes 6–8 backend engineers and owns its product scope end to end.
