Our extensive work in public ranges from government campuses and embassies to cultural buildings and museums.Learn more about our Public Portfolio.As an Architect, you will work with other members of the design team in order to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines and have opportunities to coordinate the design through all phases of the project.You Will Make an Impact by Compiling information from reports and published documents; evaluating and analyzing the information to understand broad requirements of projectDeveloping architectural designs, to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirementsCoordinating design intent with other disciplinesIntegrating engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirementsPreparing design reports, drawings and models following office standardsPerforming site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifying any deviations and liaises with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely mannerReviewing project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controlsYou will Bring to the Team Successfully completed related post-secondary educationExperience in all phases of the project cycle is requiredArchitectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design softwareFamiliarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is requiredRegistered with a relevant professional architectural association is an assetAbility to obtain secret security clearance is required15+ years of project work experienceExperience in Public projects is an assetWe are:The spaces we design and the technology we embrace shape how people live, work, learn, and connect. The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, internal equity and skills.
