Build and own the end-to-end data stack—ingestion, modeling, and BI—using dlt, dbt, BigQuery, and Lightdash to power analytics and future embedded features.
bunch is building the backbone of private markets. We are enabling next-gen fund operations with one integrated system that combines secure data infrastructure, AI-powered workflows and expert fund services. If you value ownership, growth through real responsibility, and working with a thoughtful, ambitious team, this role might be for you.
As a (Senior) Analytics Engineer at bunch, you'll own our data stack end to end, from ingestion to the semantic layer. It feeds our business intelligence and product analytics today, with embedded analytics likely next.
You will:
Own data modeling and the semantic layer everything else is built on
Move every remaining pipeline onto dlt, in Python you control
Make the stack reliable by default: scheduling, monitoring, infrastructure as code
Run our self-hosted Lightdash, down to the deployment
Make conversational analytics work, so people can ask in plain language and trust the answer
Experience: 4+ years in analytics or data engineering, ideally somewhere you owned the whole stack
Modeling: you have real opinions on dimensional modeling, layering and contracts
dbt: you know dbt past writing sql models, so materializations, incremental strategies, macros, CI, and where it breaks
Python: production-quality, with a proper understanding of ingestion (APIs, pagination, incremental loads, schema drift). dlt experience is a bonus
Infrastructure: comfortable owning deployed infra, scheduling with Airflow, Dagster or similar is a plus
Pragmatic: you start from what the business needs and you know when good enough is good enough
Data warehouse: BigQuery
Transformation: dbt
Data ingestion: dlt
BI / semantic layer: Lightdash
Event tracking: PostHog
Customizable benefits package (wellbeing, sport, mobility, food, and more)
28 days of vacation, plus 2 company days and local public holidays
Remote-flexible hybrid (3 days/week in office)
Up to 4 remote calendar weeks a year
A great tech and work setup
Work with a diverse team of 120+ bunchies from 40+ countries, with leaders who are best-in-class in their domains
Screening Interview (30 min) with our People Team to get to know each other
Technical Interview (60 min): a live SQL exercise and a design discussion
Deep Dive (45 min): your track record and how you work
Final Round (30 min): culture, growth, and strategic fit

About bunch
bunch is building the operating infrastructure for the next generation of private markets. We combine AI-powered automation with deep regulatory expertise to replace fragmented spreadsheets and manual processes with one integrated platform across the fund lifecycle, purpose-built for private markets heading toward $32 trillion in Assets Under Management.
We've 4x our ARR in 2025, crossed 150 fund managers and 12,000 LPs on the platform, and just closed our $35M Series B in May 2026. We're looking for ambitious people who want real ownership of hard problems, and who care about building infrastructure that actually matters to the people using it.
