Senior Security Technician IV – Field Lead, Commercial Systems Integration
This is a senior field leadership role requiring 5+ years of commercial security systems experience. If you can independently lead an installation team, commission integrated systems, and read engineered drawings, this role is a match.
Who We Are
Superior Alarm Systems is a commercial security integrator working at the top end of the market — global pharmaceutical and biotech campuses, entertainment studios, large-scale manufacturing facilities, and high-security enterprise environments.
We're growing our Bay Area team and need a Technician IV who has done this before — at scale, in complex environments, with real accountability.
You run the job. You set the standard. Clients trust us because of you.
Our crews work inside some of the most secure facilities in the Bay Area: global pharma and biotech campuses, major entertainment studios, large manufacturing sites and high-security enterprise environments. The systems are complex and integrated, and the stakes are real. No two weeks look the same.
We're growing and looking for a Technician IV, the senior technical lead in the field. You'll own projects from mobilization to closeout, lead crews of Tech I–III and work directly with our Project Managers to deliver installs we're proud to put our name on.
Why senior techs are choosing SAS
- $43–$55/hr, plus [overtime at 1.5x]. The range is real, and the offer won't get revised down after the call.
- Company truck, gas card. You bring the expertise, and we bring the gear.
- You'll have real ownership. You make the calls in the field, with PMs who treat you as a partner.
- Room to keep growing. Tech IV is our senior field tier, and as SAS expands, so do you, we promote from within.
- Paid certifications in Genetec, Lenel, Bosch [and more], so you can keep sharpening your edge on our dime.
- Stability plus momentum. SAS has 40+ years of history and is now part of Cobalt Service Partners, a fast-growing national group of 20+ security companies. You get the backing of a big company with the feel of a tight local team.
- Medical with up to 95% of premiums covered, plus dental, vision and a 401(k) with company contribution
- 2 weeks PTO, 7 sick days and 7 paid holidays
What you'll own
Leading in the field
- Act as the senior technical authority on site from mobilization to closeout
- Plan, sequence and coordinate the work of Tech I–III crews
- Work with PMs on schedule, risk and execution strategy
- Spot scope gaps and quality issues early and solve them before they reach the PM's desk
- Deliver projects on time and on budget without cutting corners
Hands-on technical work
- Install and oversee advanced integrated systems: access control (PACS), IP video, intrusion and specialty devices
- Terminate and test low-voltage cabling with clean runs and no rework
- Commission and validate Genetec, Lenel and Bosch systems, including programming and system-level testing
- Work directly from engineered drawings, schematics and specs
Setting the standard
- Coach your crew on what "done right" looks like: every device clean, labeled and fully tested
- Run quality audits and close out punch lists before turnover
- Keep time, progress and project status current in our project tracking system
You'll thrive here if you have
- 5+ years installing commercial security systems (enterprise, pharma, industrial or institutional)
- Experience leading install crews on active commercial job sites
- Proven install, termination and commissioning experience across access control, CCTV and intrusion
- Experience with at least two enterprise platforms: Genetec, Lenel, Bosch, C•CURE, AMAG, Avigilon or similar
- Confidence reading engineered drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics on your own
- Strong troubleshooting skills, the kind people call you in for
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
Bonus points: multi-phase or large-scale project delivery, multi-platform expertise, Bluebeam or D-Tools, managing subcontractors or integration partners, and certifications such as ESA/NTS, Genetec Certified Professional, Lenel-S2, Bosch or a CA low-voltage license.
Let's talk. Applying takes about two minutes. If you're ready to lead bigger projects with real ownership and a team that respects your skills, we want to meet you.
