Overview of role
You will have the opportunity to lead the development of next-generation biological models, tissue systems, and screening platforms to investigate mechanisms and intervention opportunities across cells, tissues, and organ systems. This role combines deep experimental biology, assay innovation, and systems-level thinking to generate human-relevant, decision-ready evidence and establish external scientific credibility that differentiates P&G innovation and supports business growth.
You will own experimental model and assay strategy, mechanistic investigation across cells, tissues, and organ systems, and the integration of biological evidence into actionable scientific and program recommendations. If this sounds exciting to you, apply NOW!
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Biological Model and Assay Strategy
Define the roadmap for 2D and 3D cellular, tissue, and organ-system models against priority biological questions.
Design, optimize, validate, and deploy assays spanning molecular, cellular, tissue, and organ-level biology.
Ensure experimental models are fit for purpose, biologically relevant, reproducible, and connected to clear discovery decisions.
Identify and evaluate emerging biological models, non-animal methods, organotypic systems, organ-on-chip technologies, and next-generation screening approaches.
2. Advance Mechanistic and Translational Discovery
Investigate biological pathways, cellular interactions, system perturbations, recovery processes, and intervention responses.
Connect molecular and cellular mechanisms with higher-order tissue, organ, and physiological outcomes.
Translate experimental evidence into clear mechanistic conclusions, intervention opportunities, and program recommendations.
Apply systems-level thinking to identify the most informative experiments and strengthen biological understanding across programs.
3. Provide Scientific Leadership and Build Capability
Serve as an experimental biology technical leader, guiding scientists and researchers in experimental design, method development, troubleshooting, and interpretation.
Translate complex biological findings into actionable recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
Build external partnerships that provide access to differentiated models, technologies, expertise, and experimental capabilities.
Strengthen long-term experimental biology and screening-platform capability through mentoring, external scientific engagement, and adoption of emerging methods.
