Salesforce Solutions Architect - Marketo

We have an opportunity for a Salesforce Solutions Architect with Marketo Experience. This role can be located anywhere in the United States. You'll get the best of both worlds: the energy and impact of a boutique team with a booming practice, backed by the scale, clients, and career pathways of a global digital consultancy.

Perficient is the global AI-first consultancy. We empower every employee to build AI fluency and actively engage with AI tools to drive innovation and efficiency. We break boundaries, obsess over outcomes, and shape the future for our clients. Join a company where bold ideas and brilliant minds converge to redefine what's possible - while building a career filled with growth, balance, and purpose.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own the technical architecture and delivery of Salesforce and Marketo implementations and managed services engagements, from discovery through go-live and ongoing optimization.
• Act as a workstream lead on client engagements, running discovery sessions, advising clients on the right approach, and adapting quickly as project needs and timelines shift.
• Partner with account and delivery teams to scope new Marketo work and support proposals for upcoming opportunities.
• Cross-train into Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) and contribute to Salesforce Marketing project work as capacity allows.
• Mentor and upskill Perficient's Salesforce Marketing teams on Marketo architecture, configuration, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Marketo configuration, integration, and data issues for clients.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 3 years of hands-on Marketo experience, including solution architecture or technical design work on enterprise implementations.
• Deep knowledge of Marketo's lead lifecycle, lead scoring, program design, integrations, and data management.
• Comfort owning the client relationship directly, leading discovery sessions and advising clients on direction, not just executing tickets.
• Strong communication skills and the flexibility to adapt to shifting client priorities without losing momentum on delivery.
• Consulting or agency experience preferred.

NICE TO HAVE

• Salesforce experience is highly preferred but not required. Familiarity with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud or Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) is a strong plus
• Experience working with Marketo Measure/Bizible is preferred but not required
• Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) or other relevant Adobe/Marketo certifications.
• Prior experience mentoring or training teammates on marketing automation platforms.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Technical depth gets you in the door. Beyond that, we're hiring for four qualities together, not any one in isolation: humble, hungry, and smart.

• Humble — a team player first. You teach as readily as you learn, and you don't need to be the smartest person in the room to add value.
• Hungry — genuinely curious and self-driven. You take on a new certification or course because you enjoy it, not because it's assigned, and you dig into unfamiliar problems until you've figured them out.
• Smart — people-smart. You read a room, enjoy talking with customers, and can hold your own in front of a client audience.
• Excited about AI — you're already using AI tools to work faster and deliver better outcomes, and you want to keep pushing on that. This is where our SF+ practice is headed, so it's a practical, non-negotiable skill, not a nice-to-have.
