About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a driven and commercially minded Sales Executive to join a growing technology and business automation organisation in Cape Town.
The company specialises in helping businesses improve the way they operate through SaaS platforms, workflow automation, AI-powered solutions and integrated business systems.
We are looking for a genuine B2B technology salesperson who understands how to sell software and business solutions based on value, efficiency, productivity and return on investment.
Candidates who have previously sold solutions such as ClickUp, monday.com, Salesforce, HubSpot, CRM platforms, workflow automation, ERP/business management software, SaaS products or similar technology solutions will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new B2B sales opportunities across targeted industries and market segments.
- Prospect for new clients through outbound calling, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals and other business development activities.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline.
- Engage with business owners, executives, department heads and other key decision-makers.
- Understand prospective clients' operational challenges, workflows and technology requirements.
- Position SaaS, automation and technology solutions according to the client's business needs.
- Conduct discovery conversations to identify inefficiencies, manual processes and opportunities for automation.
- Present and demonstrate technology solutions in a clear, commercially focused manner.
- Explain the business value and potential ROI of implementing workflow automation and SaaS solutions.
- Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations.
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation and close.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and maintain accurate pipeline information.
- Work closely with implementation and technical teams to ensure client requirements are correctly understood and handed over.
- Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for additional solutions, upgrades and services.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, activities and sales forecasts within the company's CRM/sales systems.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years' B2B sales or business development experience, preferably within technology, software, SaaS, automation or digital solutions.
- Proven experience selling business-to-business solutions rather than purely transactional products.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build a sales pipeline independently.
- Experience managing a full sales cycle, from prospecting through to closing.
- Strong understanding of consultative and solution-based selling.
- Comfortable engaging with senior business stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to understand a client's business challenges and translate these into technology solutions.
- Target-driven with a demonstrable track record of achieving sales objectives.
- Strong CRM and pipeline management discipline.
- Based in or able to work in Cape Town.
Highly Advantageous Experience

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a hunter by nature who enjoys opening doors, finding opportunities and developing new client relationships.
You should be comfortable having conversations about how businesses currently operate and identifying where technology, automation and AI can improve efficiency.
You do not necessarily need to be highly technical, but you must be technology-confident and capable of understanding software solutions well enough to communicate their business value to prospective clients.
You will be:
- Energetic and commercially driven.
- Confident approaching new businesses and decision-makers.
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting.
- Curious about technology, AI and automation.
- Able to conduct effective discovery conversations.

- Professional and credible when dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Motivated by building relationships and closing new business.
What Would Make You Stand Out?
We would particularly like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous success selling SaaS or business technology solutions.
- Experience selling platforms such as Salesforce, monday.com, ClickUp, HubSpot or comparable solutions.
- A strong existing understanding of CRM, workflow automation or business process technology.

- Proven new-business acquisition and closing capability.
- Experience selling to SMEs, mid-market or enterprise organisations.
