WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This is a SaaS enterprise sales leadership role, managing a team of Enterprise Account Executives in the DACH market for Braze’s market-leading Customer Journey Orchestration platform. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping brands communicate more effectively with their customers, building a winning team, and expanding our highly successful customer base.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of successful experience leading and developing a team of enterprise sellers in a high-growth, rapidly evolving, and dynamically competitive market. Your team will focus on the entire lifecycle relationship with their clients, so you should have experience helping them develop and evangelize net-new business, while nurturing and expanding the relationships with their customer base. As a front-line leader whose team addresses the problems of customers across multiple industries—with a strong strategic emphasis on Retail and CPG—you should have strong business acumen, and help prepare for, and participate directly in, customer-facing engagements. Your leadership will have a direct impact on the success of our customers, the development of your team, and the success of Braze.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead & Scale: Lead and mentor a distributed team of 6+ Account Executives across the DACH market (e.g., Munich, Berlin), driving performance across Strategic, Enterprise, and Commercial account segments.
- Spearhead Expansion: Lead the strategic expansion of Braze in Central Europe, specifically dominating the Retail and CPG verticals to solidify our position as the undisputed category leader.
- Market Evangelism: Act as the definitive face and voice of Braze for the Retail and CPG sector in the region. You will be the go-to leader for GTM initiatives, headlining industry events, and leading internal and external evangelism.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Enforce disciplined deal execution, sales forecasting, pipeline management, and structured sales methodologies to ensure predictable revenue and cross-functional alignment with revenue operations.
- Leverage the Ecosystem: Collaborate with and expand an ecosystem of System Integrators (SIs), Technology Partners, and Digital Agencies to drive joint GTM strategies and accelerate revenue.
- Full-Lifecycle Engagement: Drive full-lifecycle customer engagement from prospecting and acquisition to retention and expansion, actively participating in complex, C-level customer meetings and negotiations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster deep alignment with internal teams including Business Development, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, Sales Operations, and Partnerships.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experienced Leader: 5+ years of experience leading enterprise sales teams in the DACH market, specifically managing teams of 6+ people across Strategic, Enterprise, and Commercial accounts.
- Talent Magnet: A proven track record as a true "talent magnet"—capable of acquiring, developing, coaching, and retaining top-performing sales talent in a fiercely competitive market.
- Retail & CPG Authority: Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions into the Retail and CPG sectors. Direct industry background is welcomed, but an intricate understanding of these verticals is essential. Existing executive relationships within DACH Retail/CPG are a significant advantage.
- Partner Network: Deep understanding of the MarTech partner landscape for Retail and CPG, bringing established relationships with key SIs, Tech Partners, and Agencies.
- AI & Sales Tech Innovator: Forward-thinking approach to sales tech, utilizing AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency, accelerate deal execution, and continuously refine the sales process.
- Distributed Team Management: Experience successfully leading and unifying distributed sales teams across multiple strategic DACH locations.
- Language Precision: Native German and fluent English are mandatory, allowing you to seamlessly navigate C-level negotiations in both. French language skills are highly regarded as a strong bonus.
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of SaaS sales cycles, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), omnichannel marketing, and modern customer engagement stacks.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
- Team Leadership & Talent Density: Build, inspire, and retain a high-performing, multi-location sales team.
- Vertical Dominance: Expand Braze's footprint and shape its market perception specifically within the DACH Retail and CPG enterprise markets.
- Operational Rigor & AI Adoption: Drive predictability and efficiency through stringent pipeline management and the adoption of modern, AI-assisted sales workflows.
- Customer Centricity: Drive customer success and cultivate lasting, executive-level relationships.
- Ecosystem Synergy: Partner effectively with internal stakeholders and external channel partners to multiply market reach.
