About Blockaid

Blockaid is redefining trust in blockchain through advanced, integrated security. Our on-chain security platform is trusted by the world's leading Web3 companies — including Coinbase, MetaMask, Uniswap, Backpack, and Stellar — to detect, understand, and automatically prevent fraud, scams, hacks, and financial threats before they cause harm.

We are backed by top-tier global investors including Sequoia Capital, Ribbit Capital, and Cyberstarts: firms known for backing the most innovative and influential companies in technology and cybersecurity.

The Role

As an SDR at Blockaid, you will be the forefront of our growth engine, driving the pipeline that powers our sales organization. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you'll engage with prospects across the Web3 and cybersecurity ecosystem, uncover new business opportunities, and create meaningful connections that convert into qualified opportunities for our Account Executives.

If you're ambitious, curious about the future of blockchain security, and energized by the challenge of building something from the ground up, this role is for you!

This is a hybrid role in our NYC office 4 days/week alongside the local team including our cofounders. You'll have direct access to the people who built the company and the sales leaders in the US. Candidates must be based in New York City. Sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available for this role. Compensation is determined based on specific skills and experience, and the target base salary for this role is $90-100k + performance-based bonus (up to 25%).

What you'll do:

• Proactively research, identify, and engage potential customers across the Web3 and cybersecurity landscape through strategic outbound outreach including cold-calling.
• Connect with prospects via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to build genuine awareness and interest in Blockaid's solutions.
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads, and book high-quality meetings for Account Executives.
• Partner closely with Marketing and Sales to execute targeted, data-driven campaigns that resonate with technical and business audiences.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date activity logs and lead data in our CRM to ensure pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy.
• Represent Blockaid with credibility, professionalism, and passion to a global audience of builders, operators, and decision-makers.

Requirements

What you bring:

• 1+ years of experience in business development/ sales development and eager to progress to an AE role.
• A self-starter mindset: You know what you bring and you know where you're going. Highly motivated, goal-driven, and resilient. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment where priorities can shift quickly.
• Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement platforms and tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, LI Sales Nav, Gong).
• Comfortable cold-calling and able to create powerful sequences.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to craft compelling, tailored outreach.

Bonus points if:

• Your BDR/SDR experience is in a SaaS or cybersecurity company.
• You’re genuinely passionate about blockchain, Web3, or cybersecurity — candidates who understand the space will stand out. Major bonus points if you have experience with crypto custody, crypto security, and have a strong network in the space.
• You have proven experience using AI tools not in a generic way, but to create highly differentiated messaging.
