About the Client
An early-stage biotechnology company specializing in personal stem cell banking and regenerative medicine is looking for a Sales Development Representative to build and own its outbound prospecting engine from the ground up.
The company partners with a national network of physicians and operates with a lean, high-performing sales team. As demand accelerates, they're investing in AI-driven prospecting to free up their account executives to focus on closing.
About the Role
This role owns the full outbound cycle — researching and building targeted physician lists, running multi-channel outreach campaigns across calls, email, SMS, and LinkedIn, and booking qualified meetings for the account executive team. Given a target specialty or region, the SDR independently develops and executes the prospecting strategy using AI tools and automation rather than working off a pre-built list.
Success means consistently generating a minimum of 10 qualified meetings per week, keeping the CRM clean and current, and proactively identifying ways to improve outreach performance.
Core Responsibilities
Lead Sourcing & Prospecting
- Identify and source qualified leads across physician networks, medical practices, and specialty verticals using AI tools and data enrichment platforms
- Build and maintain enriched lead lists tailored to specific regions and medical specialties
- Develop and execute independent prospecting strategies based on client-defined targeting parameters
Outbound Outreach & Meeting Generation
- Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (calls, email, SMS, LinkedIn) to book qualified meetings
- Manage automated drip campaigns and follow-up sequences to move leads through the pipeline
- Qualify leads and handle initial objections before handoff to account executives
- Consistently generate a minimum of 10 qualified meetings per week
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Log all prospecting activity, lead status, and meeting outcomes in the CRM
- Track and report on key metrics including response rates, meetings booked, and pipeline velocity
- Maintain data accuracy and hygiene across all lead records
Sales Enablement & Process Improvement
- Join sales calls to build product and industry knowledge
- Support account executives with research and presentation materials as needed
- Identify and pitch process or tooling improvements to increase outreach efficiency
Requirements
Must-Have
- 2+ years of SDR/BDR experience with end-to-end ownership of outbound cold prospecting

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding a monthly qualified-meeting quota (40+ meetings/month benchmark)
- Multi-channel outreach experience spanning cold calls, email, SMS, and LinkedIn
- CRM experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or an equivalent platform
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- C1+ English (CEFR) for daily client-facing communication with US-based physician offices
Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience selling into healthcare, medtech, or biotech verticals
- Direct physician or medical-network outreach experience
- Experience independently building targeted prospecting lists and territory strategies without heavy oversight
- Familiarity with sales engagement platforms such as Outreach.io, SalesLoft, or Instantly
