ROOM Marketing Lead - Rakuten Ichiba Marketing Department, Commerce & Marketing Company (C&M)

Job Description:

Business Overview
The marketplace business is centered around "Rakuten Ichiba," the founding business of Rakuten.

Since our establishment in 1997, guided by our mission to "empower people and society through innovation," we have built a platform that allows anyone to conduct business freely, transcending the limitations of traditional commercial spheres. Today, it has grown into one of the largest e-commerce sites in Japan, delivering the ""joy of shopping"" to users nationwide and continuing to evolve as an essential infrastructure that supports the Japanese consumer experience.

Department Overview
"ROOM" is a shopping SNS on Rakuten Ichiba centered on the concepts of "discovery" and "empathy."

We are going beyond the framework of a mere affiliate platform to create a new experience where users' passions can inspire the purchasing decisions of others. By leveraging the enthusiasm of influencers to connect fans with merchants on Rakuten Ichiba, we are expanding a "social commerce ecosystem" and further evolving the Rakuten shopping experience into something even more enriching.

Why We Hire
ROOM is currently evolving from a traditional affiliate platform into a phase where it provides advanced marketing solutions to merchants on Rakuten Ichiba.

In this growth phase, we are looking for marketing professionals who can strategically lead a new purchasing experience on ROOM by combining the ""enthusiasm"" of influencers with Rakuten’s "vast purchasing data."

You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including product development, sales, and media operations. By leading projects as a driver of business growth, you will be able to cultivate a perspective close to that of management.
