To strengthen our team at the location in Bremen or Wietmarschen-Lohne with flexible working time models and the option of home office we are looking for a

Robotic Software Engineer (all genders welcome) - Maritime Robotics – Signal Processing (Subsea NDT / AUV Systems)

As a Robotics Software Engineer specializing in maritime robotics, you will be responsible for the signal processing of various sensor heads used for non-destructive testing (NDT) onboard autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) performing close-range inspection of maritime infrastructure. You will develop robust, ROS2-based algorithms and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and research partners to drive innovative solutions in underwater robotics.

What you can expect

• Develop signal processing solutions for various sensor heads used in non-destructive testing (NDT) of offshore subsea assets — covering both real-time data processing to support onboard autonomy and downstream analysis and evaluation.

• Design inspection solutions for critical subsea infrastructure (e.g. pipelines, offshore platforms, energy and communication networks) and validate them for deployment under real ocean conditions.

• Plan, conduct, and evaluate simulations and maritime field tests, analyzing relevant sensor and navigation data.

• Work with modern software development environments and open-source frameworks (in particular ROS2) as well as relevant libraries to implement and evaluate your algorithms.

• Collaborate closely with other teams within the Subsea group, including high-level mission planning, manipulator control, and vehicle control, as well as with external partners.

• Partner with universities and research institutions in the field of maritime robotics and autonomous systems, actively contributing to joint research and development projects.

What you bring

To become part of the Rosenxt family, you convince us with an independent, structured, and team-oriented way of working, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. You also bring:

• A completed technical degree in robotics, computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on maritime robotics or AUV-based inspection.

• Several years of professional experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or maritime robotics.

• Solid knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) sensor technologies in the maritime offshore context, such as cathodic protection or flooded member detection, along with a strong background in signal processing and analysis.

• A strong sense of ownership and excellent communication skills within interdisciplinary teams.

• A genuine affinity for research and collaboration with universities and research institutes.

Look forward to

• Development and career opportunities in a global, innovative and long-term oriented group of companies with family character

• Flexible working hours, working time accounts and Home Office possible

• An open corporate culture, where we celebrate success with social events

• Compatibility of work and family through our company-owned day care center

• Employer funded pension, capital accumulation benefits and discounted insurance offers (occupational disability insurance and other direct insurance policies)

• Company Restaurant (only at our location in Wietmarschen-Lohne) and fresh fruit daily

• Various in-house sports activities (EGYM Wellpass and other offers)

• Attractive leasing offers for IT-products and bikes for private use

• Discounted charging facilities for electric vehicles directly at the company location

• Corporate Benefits - employee offers in changing online shops at top conditions
