RF Filter Design / BAW development Co-Op (January- December 2027)
Skyworks Solutions is seeking a talented intern to develop new high-frequency BAW filter modules.
The selected individual will join the BAW design team, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of next-generation BAW filter designs for Skyworks’ WiFi, Automotive, Infrastructure, and IoT customers.
The successful candidate will utilize simulations, feasibility & topology studies, and technology assessments to deliver compelling products and help drive advanced technology development.
We are seeking a student to work onsite in our Ottawa design center for a 12-month term starting January - December 2027.
Responsibilities
- Work activities include: mason level circuit feasibility simulations, topology studies, evaluation of stack parameters, and their trade-offs
- Taking measurements of finished products to validate performance
- Compiling complicated results and sharing with the team in a clean, concise, well-organized format or design review
- Tape out new filter design
- EM simulations as necessary
Required Experience and Skills
- University student, currently enrolled in an MSEE/PhD Program in the field of RF & Microwaves and/or acoustics (BAW preferred, but will consider other similar acoustic fields)
- Must be able and available to work starting January 2027
- Periodic online meetings with our international team may be required
Desired Experience and Skills
- Strong understanding of RF and Microwaves
- Strong understanding of S-Parameters
- Strong understanding of acoustic resonators physics is a plus
- Understanding of ladder filter topology and design techniques
