Restaurant and Kitchen Manager wanted for Vietnamese restaurant

Hanoi Kitchen ApS is looking for a full-time Restaurant and Kitchen Manager for our Vietnamese restaurant in Hillerød.

We are looking for a responsible and structured person who can help manage the daily operation of the restaurant and kitchen, coordinate service, support kitchen staff and ensure that our food, hygiene and daily routines meet high standards.

The position is a full-time position of 37 hours per week.

Main responsibilities

Your main tasks will include:

• Managing the daily operation of the restaurant and kitchen.

• Planning and coordinating kitchen preparation, service flow and daily routines.

• Supervising kitchen staff and assisting with staff coordination during service.

• Preparing and overseeing the preparation of Vietnamese dishes, including soups, rice dishes, noodle dishes, stir-fry dishes, spring rolls and other menu items.

• Ensuring that dishes are prepared according to the restaurant’s recipes, quality standards and presentation requirements.

• Managing stock control, ordering needs and correct storage of food products.

• Receiving, checking and handling chilled, frozen and dry food products.

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, cleaning and HACCP/self-control procedures.

• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen, storage areas, service areas and other parts of the restaurant.

• Ensuring that food is handled, stored, prepared and served in accordance with applicable food safety rules and internal procedures.

• Coordinating dine-in, takeaway and delivery orders during service.

• Training and supporting staff in kitchen routines, food preparation, cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.

• Assisting management with operational improvements, menu execution and daily problem-solving.

• Helping ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and in accordance with Danish rules and standards.

Qualifications

We expect that you:

• Have experience from restaurant or kitchen work.

• Preferably have experience in cooking Vietnamese dishes .

• Can work in a structured and responsible way.

• Are able to coordinate daily restaurant and kitchen routines.

• Understand the importance of food safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures.

• Can cooperate with colleagues and support other staff during service.

• Are flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when needed.

Experience with takeaway, delivery platforms, stock control, staff training and daily restaurant operations is an advantage.

Employment terms

• Full-time position: 37 hours per week.

• Salary: Salary and employment terms are in accordance with Danish standards and will be agreed based on qualifications and experience.

• Place of work: Hanoi Kitchen ApS, Slotsgade 51, 3400 Hillerød, Denmark.

• Working hours may be scheduled on weekdays, evenings, weekends and according to the restaurant’s opening hours and operational needs.

• Start date: By agreement.

• Employment is conditional upon the candidate having or obtaining the necessary residence and work permit, if required.
