Job Responsibility
- Provide preliminary support for LNG spot trading by conducting initial communications with customers and suppliers and coordinating commercial terms to establish a foundation for subsequent trade execution.
- Support short-term and medium- to long-term resource procurement and sales by maintaining commercial communications with customers and suppliers, coordinating commercial terms to facilitate subsequent trade execution, and consolidating and summarising commercial information to support management decision-making.
- Organise and maintain the medium- to long-term LNG contract portfolio, analyse the cost and profitability of resources within the portfolio, and report findings to management on a regular basis.
- 4. Establish and maintain an LNG customer network, and maintain regular communications with LNG suppliers and trading customers.
- Monitor international short-term and medium- to long-term market trends, and collect market intelligence and industry information.
- Prepare and submit regular reports or presentations (PPTs) to management on current and future LNG market trends.
- Assist in developing procurement and sales strategies, work plans, and proposals for short-term and medium- to long-term LNG trading.
- Assist with internal approval processes and the execution of contracts for LNG spot, short-term, and medium- to long-term transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in Business International Trade, Economics, Energy, Finance Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the LNG, natural gas, energy, or commodities trading industry.
- Good understanding of international LNG market trends, pricing mechanisms, and short-term and long-term trading.
- Experience in commercial communication and coordination with LNG suppliers, customers, and trading counterparties.
- Strong analytical skills in market research, resource portfolio analysis, cost and profitability assessment.
- Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills, with the ability to prepare market reports and management presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in an international trading environment.
