Recruiter

The Driving Force Group of Companies is a network of world-class transportation and fleet management solutions companies. We're proud to be an Alberta success story that began in a rented office above a small service station. With a can-do attitude and people-first culture, we've grown into an industry leader spanning over 40 locations with over 600+ employees.
We are currently looking for a Recruiter at our Edmonton corporate head office.
What Moves You:

You believe that every hire matters and that drives you to treat every single candidate interaction as an opportunity to leave a lasting positive impression.
You're genuinely curious about people’s career stories, their motivations, and what makes them tick. That curiosity makes you a naturally better interviewer, a sharper screener, and a more effective talent partner.
You're energized by the hunt. Whether it's cracking a hard-to-fill role, building a pipeline from scratch, or finding the hidden gem candidate no one else thought to look for, the challenge of sourcing great people is what gets you going.
You take ownership seriously. You follow through, are attentive to detail, and communicate clearly.
You thrive in a collaborative environment where you're a true partner to hiring managers, not just an order-taker — bringing your expertise to the table and helping shape better hiring decisions together.

What You'll Do:

Own the full recruitment life cycle from job ad creation through to offer, partnering closely with hiring managers to attract, assess, and secure top talent across the organization.
Build diverse, proactive candidate pipelines through creative sourcing strategies, research, and other channels ensuring a steady flow of qualified talent for both current openings and future needs.
Conduct screening calls, phone, video, and in-person interviews using behavioral and situational interviewing techniques, then drive shortlist discussions and recommendations with confidence and clarity.
Craft compelling, engaging job ads that speak to the right candidates, and help hiring managers do the same, knowing how a role is written determines who applies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of how Driving Force attracts and hires talent, identifying gaps in process, sharing candidate and market insights, and partnering with the HR team to build a recruitment function that gets sharper and more effective over time.
Deliver a world-class candidate experience at every touchpoint, communicating authentically, frequently, and professionally from first contact through to the final offer and beyond.

What You'll Bring:

3+ years of high volume full-cycle recruitment experience, backed by a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources — an RPR designation is a definite asset.
Expertise in behavioral and situational interviewing techniques, with a genuine ability to assess not just what candidates have done, but how and why they did it.
Hands-on experience with ATS and key sourcing platforms alongside strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to partner authentically with hiring managers, advocate clearly for candidates, and navigate competing priorities with professionalism.
High attention to detail, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the adaptability to stay creative and resilient when roles are tough, timelines are tight, and the perfect candidate isn't easy to find.

What We Offer:

Competitive wages and flexible benefits.
Our company RRSP matching program.
50% off rentals at any of our Driving Force locations.
Learning and growth opportunities.
Paid vacation and wellness time.
We support your wellbeing through our Thrive wellness program.
We 'Celebrate Great' through our rewards and recognition programs.

The Driving Force Groups of Companies values diversity and is committed to providing equal opportunities in the workplace. We invite applicants from qualified individuals of all backgrounds. While we welcome all interested candidates, only those selected for an interview will receive further communication.
If you require accommodation during any part of the recruitment process, please let us know.
