Overview The role will work closely with key cross functional stakeholders to implement Consumer Science competitive research according to globally aligned methodologies and regional requirements across APAC region, in food and beverage categories. Responsibilities Collaborate with R&D FSQA and PD teams to conduct Competitive Quality Assessment (CQA) & Product Quality Beverage (PQB) tests, as well as any custom competitive research expected to support the need of the business Work with designated external agencies to coordinate competitive consumer testing programs and reporting according to globally agreed R&D Scorecard planning. Provide actionable insights and interpretation based primarily on quantitative competitive research with consumers. Implications of research will need to be communicated to senior managers Use strategic thinking to develop and manage adhoc competitive learning plans (from internal stakeholder reviews, sensory or consumer research) and aligning key stakeholders (R&D, Consumer Insights, Marketing). Partner with GCC and global Consumer Science colleagues to implement and support the digitization journey of the function. Coordinate with Global Sensory Operations (global trained panel ecosystem) for sensory testing needs Qualifications Professional degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. Psychology, Food Science, Sensory science) preferred with a strong theoretical background in test design, research methodologies & statistical analysis techniques. Previous experience in a sensory & consumer research/insights role (5y+) Knowledge of product testing methodologies with background in Sensory, Qualitative & Quantitative research methods Strong analytical skills – ability to interpret complex data and distil into useful and actionable information. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and negotiate effectively across all levels and all functions of the organization. Good knowledge of statistical methods and applicability to sensory & consumer research Good presentation skills (written & verbal) Cultural sensitivity/flexibility in responding to different cultures Self-starter, self-motivating – high drive for results and able to deal with uncertainty and complexity Advanced English language skills Strong IT/digitization skills, able to learn new systems quickly and to apply them in a fast-moving business environment
