- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field requiredProven experience in personnel management, including performance coaching, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement
- 7+ years of experience in the aerospace and metalworking manufacturing industry.
- Implement data-driven problem-solving methodologies to improve key quality metrics, including PPM, internal and external rejects, First Article Inspection (FAI), and compliance with customer specifications.
Promote a culture of quality at the source and continuous improvement, ensuring defect prevention, adherence to established standards, and active engagement across operational teams.
Lead, develop, and strengthen the Quality team (exempt and non-exempt employees) through coaching, training, performance management, and talent development initiatives.
Identify, prioritize, and drive improvement initiatives that enhance quality, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
Develop, implement, and manage sub-tier supplier certification and improvement programs, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA and other regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and customers.
Represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) throughout the organization, ensuring customer requirements, expectations, and feedback are translated into actionable improvements and sustained compliance.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and workflows aligned with AS9100 requirements, ensuring the effectiveness and standardization of the Quality Management System.
Lead internal and external AS9100 audits, ensuring organizational readiness, regulatory compliance, and timely closure of audit findings.
Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System document control process, ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of quality records and documentation.
Establish the Quality Policy and annual quality objectives in collaboration with Plant Management, aligning them with business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
Coordinate and lead periodic Quality Management System reviews, evaluating system performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving continual improvement initiative.
Willingness and ability to travel as required
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
