Job Summary
Perform quality assurance and control inspections across production stages to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements. Lead defect investigations, manage corrective actions, and support continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and finished product inspections to verify quality compliance
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify deviations
- Investigate product defects and non-conformities, and implement follow-up actions to resolve issues
- Prepare and maintain accurate QA/QC reports, inspection records, and quality documentation
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and track resolution progress
- Investigate customer complaints and coordinate corrective measures to enhance product quality
- Assist in implementing ISO quality management system requirements and support internal and external audits
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues effectively
- Monitor and improve quality control procedures and inspection standards to reduce defects
- Maintain calibration and control of measuring instruments to ensure measurement accuracy
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing production defects and enhancing quality
Required competencies and certifications
- Relevant work authorization to work in Singapore
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field
- 2–3 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing
- Experience in plastic manufacturing, injection moulding, or engineering manufacturing
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, product specifications, and inspection requirements
- Experience using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
- Familiarity with NCR, CAPA, 8D, or similar quality improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Willingness to work Monday to Saturday
