About the role
Reporting to the QA Supervisor, the role is responsible for investigating and resolving quality matters in accordance with the ISO 13485 QA system. Working closely with Sales, Production, Supply Chain, R&D, suppliers and customers, providing timely and accurate resolutions to quality issues across the business.
Key responsibilities
Investigating and resolving supplier and internal non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions, and customer complaints.
Creating and progressing Supplier Non-Conformity Reports, Non-Conformance Reports, Customer Complaints, Engineering Change Requests and Document Change Notices through to timely completion.
Liaising across departments and with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues.
Inspecting supplied components as required.
Supporting final product quality inspections when needed.
Getting hands-on where required — this is a role for someone who's happy both at a desk and on the production floor.
About you
A trade or tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering with unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
3–5 years' experience in a quality engineering role in a regulated industry.
A developing knowledge of the ISO quality management standards would be an advantage.
A solid understanding of quality principles and statistical techniques.
Working capability with SolidWorks CAD and Adobe InDesign (desirable).
Strong, pragmatic problem-solving and analytical skills.
A practical mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, and confidence using engineering measuring tools and instruments.
Succinct technical writing skills and a genuine pride in the accuracy and presentation of your work.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
