ABOUT THE ROLE AND WHO YOU WOULD WORK FOR

You would be employed permanently by an established global software consultancy with offices across the UK, Canada and Poland. ISO27001 certified, working across banking, healthcare and utilities. They place consultants into client programmes to work alongside client engineering teams, which means variety over a career without the instability of contracting, and a

team of your own to come back to.

The programme you would join is with one of the largest publicly listed investment management firms in the world, managing assets across quantitative and discretionary strategies. The technology function is genuinely central to how they operate rather than a support layer, and the engineering culture reflects that.

THE ROLE

They are hiring software engineers who build in Python and care abouthow it is built. Depth in the language, sound design instincts and the discipline to write code other engineers will maintain.

There is room at both mid and senior level. Seniority here is set by depth rather than years, so apply at whichever level fits you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build production Python services
• Own delivery on a client programme, working directly with their teams
• Contribute to technical decisions rather than picking up tickets
• Write code with the testing and structure to match

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Commercial Python software engineering
• Solid fundamentals across testing, design and code review
• Strong spoken English, this is a client facing consultancy role
• Existing right to work in Poland, no sponsorship available
• Based within reach of Warsaw or Wroclaw

DESIRABLE, NOT ESSENTIAL

• Financial services, regulated or low latency environments
• Cloud and containerised deployment experience
• Anything showing engineering beyond the day job, open source, writing, talks

WHAT THEY OFFER

Remote working with flexible hours, a local office in your city for team socials, paid certifications, pension, private healthcare, and a choice of Macbook or Windows machine.

There is a bonus structure attached to wider contribution, whether that is internal training, talks, interviewing or the developer community, so people who want to build something beyond their own delivery have somewhere to put it.
