🚀 Our client — a heavily funded defence-tech company — is hiring a Principal Python Engineer (Modeling & Simulation) in the US.
They’re building AI-assisted development infrastructure for mission-critical and edge environments, tackling complex problems across simulation, distributed systems, compilers and heterogeneous compute.
The role:
✅ Build and own complex production Python systems end-to-end
✅ Design scalable backend architectures across APIs, data models, queues and distributed workflows
✅ Work on modelling & simulation systems, ideally involving C++ and AFSIM or similar frameworks
✅ Solve performance, reliability and deployment challenges in real-world defence environments
✅ Work across AI-assisted development, simulation and complex software infrastructure
✅ At senior levels, lead major technical initiatives and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on
