Oversee end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, coordinating teams and stakeholders to hit timelines and budgets while managing scope, risks, and budgets.
Job Summary
The Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within timeline and budget, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business goals and managing cross-departmental teams effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and define project goals, scope, and deliverables aligned with business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Create comprehensive project plans that include tasks, milestones, and timelines for communication with clients and internal teams
- Select and delegate tasks to project team members, including coordinators and assistant project managers
- Manage project budgeting and resource allocation to ensure completion within approved budget
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks such as budget constraints or supplier delays throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor project progress continuously and set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals
- Produce detailed reports on milestones, deliverables, and project status for clients and executives using communication platforms like Slack or Outlook
- Communicate proactively project status, issues, and risks to all stakeholders
- Evaluate the quality of work products using customer feedback or industry-relevant inspections
- Conduct post-project evaluations to analyze successful and unsuccessful elements for continuous improvement
- Lead and coordinate project staff and resources to meet milestones and uphold quality standards
- Manage high-pressure situations and meet deadlines effectively
Required competencies and certifications
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and project management tools
- Demonstrated leadership, time management, and organizational skills to drive project success
- Working knowledge of change management and performance evaluation processes
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills applied in project contexts
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and meet deadlines effectively
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree or advanced certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
- Proven experience managing all aspects of project lifecycles
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management, or change management
