About hyperexponential (hx)

At hyperexponential, we’re building the AI-powered platform that enables the world’s most critical decisions in a $7 trillion industry - which risks to take, and how to price them. These are the decisions that shape real-world outcomes: whether rockets successfully launch into space, autonomous vehicles make it to market, or communities recover after major storms.

Until now, insurance has been making billion-dollar decisions using outdated tools. We’re changing that. Our platform brings together data, AI, and human expertise to give insurers the fastest path from submission to decision - helping them move faster, act smarter, and take on more risk with confidence.

Backed by a16z, Highland Europe, and Battery Ventures, we’re scaling globally - already trusted by nearly 50 of the world’s largest insurers, with zero churn and billions in premiums flowing through hx.

What began as a single product in one market has rapidly evolved into a multi-product, multi-territory platform powering every stage of pricing and underwriting. AI is at the core of what we do - from building the world’s first domain-specific AI peer programmer for insurance (think GitHub Copilot with a PhD in actuarial science) to shaping agentic workflows that reinvent how this industry operates.

What makes hx different is the people who build it. Here, impact isn’t tied to title or tenure; it’s defined by the challenges you take on and the discipline you bring. Surrounded by peers who stretch you, you’ll do the best, hardest work of your life in a company engineered to endure.

If that sounds like you, join us in building what comes next.

About the Project Management Team

At hx, Project Management is more than running timelines and reporting progress, it’s about driving customer success, accelerating time-to-value, and being the bridge between ambitious clients and technology. What makes us stand out is the mix of depth and ambition: we understand the platform, build strong relationships with customers, and are constantly looking at how tools and AI can improve how we deliver.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of project delivery, owning customer projects end-to-end and working directly with insurers and internal teams to bring pricing models and integrations live. You’ll act as the main point of contact for customers, building trust and managing all aspects of delivery, while ensuring projects land successfully.

Alongside delivery, you’ll also play a role in improving how we work as a team, whether that’s refining processes, introducing better ways of using tools, or helping create more consistent, scalable delivery across projects.

What you'll be doing

• Own customer projects end-to-end, managing timelines, stakeholders, risks, and outcomes, while acting as the primary point of contact and building strong, trusted relationships.

• Support customers in going live with hx Renew quickly and effectively, balancing pace with quality and ensuring delivery drives meaningful outcomes.

• Create and maintain clear, real-time views of project progress, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and status, surfacing issues early and keeping both customers and internal teams aligned.

• Define, use, and continuously improve core project management artefacts (e.g. plans, RAID logs, governance rhythms, handovers) so delivery is consistent, high-quality, and easy to follow.

• Apply AI and automation to improve how projects are run, from summarising workshops and generating updates to identifying risks and improving visibility across delivery.

• Translate customer needs into clear actions for Model Development, Technology, and Customer Engineering, ensuring alignment across teams and smooth execution.

• Contribute to improving how we deliver as a function, refining processes, templates, and ways of working to make delivery more scalable and effective over time.

What you'll need to have done

• Delivered or contributed to projects in SaaS, technology, financial services, or consulting environments

• Worked directly with stakeholders and adapted communication across technical and non-technical audiences

• Demonstrated project management fundamentals (planning, risk/issue tracking, stakeholder communication)

• Taken initiative to improve a process, tool, or way of working and seen it through to adoption

• Shown curiosity around tools or AI, and explored how they can improve how you work

• Operated effectively in environments with some ambiguity, balancing independence with knowing when to ask for support

You’re unlikely to thrive here if

• You prefer sticking strictly to defined processes rather than adapting your approach based on the needs of the project or customer

• You’re uncomfortable working directly with customers or taking ownership of delivery outcomes

• You’re hesitant to explore new tools, technologies, or ways of working to improve how you deliver

If reading our Culture Document leaves you feeling neutral rather than energised, hx may not be the place where you’ll do your best work. We’re building something that asks for commitment and conviction, and we want you to feel excited by the opportunity to grow with us.
