Job Summary
The Project Manager (Electrical) is responsible for driving the successful end-to-end delivery of electrical and building services projects within the built environment sector. This role oversees project planning, execution, stakeholder collaboration, safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, contractual, and corporate standards. Experience in data centre or mission-critical facility projects is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets.
Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers, clients, and relevant regulatory authorities across all project phases.
Oversee comprehensive electrical works, including installation, testing, commissioning, and final project handover.
Monitor project milestones, risk factors, resource allocation, and budget performance, implementing corrective measures as required.
Ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations, industry codes, quality standards, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) guidelines.
Prepare project progress reports, financial forecasts, and key documentation for management and client reviews.
Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in project execution.
Maintain high ethical standards and corporate compliance, including anti-corruption, fair employment, and responsible business practices.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Strong hands-on experience and a proven track record in managing electrical, M&E, construction, infrastructure, industrial, commercial, healthcare, or institutional projects within the built environment.
In-depth technical knowledge of electrical power systems, building services, project execution methodologies, and testing & commissioning protocols.
Solid understanding of project management principles, contract administration, risk mitigation, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) frameworks.
Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with construction contracts and commercial management principles.
Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or relevant WSH qualifications will be an added advantage.
Prior experience in data centres or mission-critical facilities is an added advantage.
