Job Summary
The Project Engineer plans, coordinates, executes, and oversees engineering projects related to ACMV and energy efficiency systems, ensuring safe, timely, and quality delivery from initiation to completion.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute project contracts to ensure overall progress aligns with schedule and budget
- Monitor installation progress and coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to achieve timely project delivery
- Provide daily work status and project progress reports to the Project Manager
- Supervise site works to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Ensure site activities adhere to project scope and schedule requirements
- Prepare, review, and submit safety and technical documents including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Work Procedures, shop drawings, catalogues, technical data, testing & commissioning check sheets, and progress reports for M&E works
- Support resource planning, procurement, and negotiation of materials, equipment, and manpower within approved budgets
- Conduct technical discussions with stakeholders to resolve site and engineering issues promptly
- Liaise with authorities, subcontractors, and clients on submissions, inspections, testing, and commissioning requirements
- Resolve project conflicts and participate in site coordination meetings to maintain project alignment
- Collaborate closely with project teams and subcontractors to maintain quality control standards
- Assist in preparing progress claims, variation orders, cost tracking, and project reporting to clients
- Conduct operation and maintenance training for clients prior to project handover
- Adapt to flexible work schedules and travel to various client sites island-wide as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s or Professional Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Electrical), Project & Facilities Management, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects involving Mechanical systems (VAV, VRV, Cooling Tower, Chillers, Chilled Water Pipe, A&A works) and Electrical systems (Retrofit, LMCP, MCC Panel, BMS, ACMV)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD

- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
