MISSIONS & OBJECTIVES
Reporting directly to the Head of Production, you will be responsible for all activities of the Oxygen Repair Line. In this scope, you will manage a repair production team with the support of one or more Lead Repair Technician(s). You will also manage the Certification / Return to service activity.
Your objectives and Missions:
Manage your team with the aim of meeting objectives for safety, quality, costs and delivery, in line with customer requirements and Safran Aerosystems strategy.
Improve performance within your expanded scope of responsibility
Ensure that multidisciplinary teams capitalize on experience and move up the skills chain.
Develop versatility, autonomy, cross-functional applicability and innovation, in line with the Safran Together model
Providing a vision and uniting the teams around the entity’s challenges.
Ensuring that competencies and resources are maintained at the highest level within the expanded scope.
Ensuring the accessibility and quality of data in the sector.
Guaranteeing the use of and compliance with referential.
Ensuring compliance of all production, processes and the correct application of all directives (Part 145 regulations, HSE, etc.)
Keeping up to date and documentation and procedures relative to your scope
Ensuring the required transformations and change management in line with Customer Support Services global requirements
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Manage the employees within the Production Line team:
Managing a team of Repair Technicians, Leads & dedicated certifying staff when applicable
Guaranteeing a safe environment of work and lead any necessary actions to ensure safety of your team
Organising your teams in a way that promotes multidisciplinary contributions, autonomy, accountability, and cross-functionality with the aim of being agile and adaptable to operational contingencies and (internal and external) customer’s needs.
Managing workload-capacity balance in coordination with the production manager
Expressing resource and competency needs for the optimal operation of the department
Allocating workload based on need & managing priorities within the department.
Managing HR Processes: hiring/on boarding/training, annual performance review of the team
Managing the competency development of each team member
Identifying training needs, defining training initiatives to ensure the development of the team, and contributing to employee career management
Maintaining a good social climate within and with your team
Promoting a team operation in accordance with the values of the Safran Together Model
Promoting innovation and support innovative initiative
Organize the activity:
Maintaining a working environment that complies with HSE requirements and ensuring the safety of the teams working under your responsibility
Implementing the guidelines and objectives of the Head of Production for your scope of responsibility into SQCDP (Safety – Quality – Cost – Delivery – People) operational objectives in line with other Production Line Managers.
Ensuring that products are repaired in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer order requirements within the set deadlines and costs
Managing and planning the resources of the repair production lines around a workload / capacity tool in terms of repair production resources and staff (quantities and competencies). Anticipating the needs related to the ramp-up of the repair production tool.
Managing the skills and training of the teams to guarantee the quality of operations
Ensuring Team members training on Time clocking rules, and clocking accuracy
Supporting internal and Customers training in line with the training department within CSS
Manage the performance:
Monitoring the performance indicators of the repair production lines in relation to targets, leading the associated reporting and develop any action and mitigation plans to support the performance
Proposing and implementing a plan for the continuous improvement of repair production lines: on production, means and processes to contribute to the sustainable improvement of performance (e.g. One SAFRAN). Managing your operational cost including but not restricted to investments, man-hours.
Embarking the Lead Technicians in managing performance and the teams coordination
Guaranteeing the compliance of routines as defined in the strategic operation plan
Ensuring the operational cohesion of the lines with the site’s other departments (HSE, Sales Administration, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.) and promoting cross-functionality
Optimising set-ups within the lines in keeping with the site’s industrial strategy
Any other tasks from time to time.
Education & Experience:
Engineering in diploma or degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
5 years’ relevant working experience in the aerospace or airline industry will be an advantage.
