The Product Marketing Analyst supports informed decision-making by delivering accurate analysis and reporting for key product categories. By maintaining strong data governance and ensuring consistent management, this role guarantees reliable data for valuable insights. Through analysis, dashboard maintenance, and clear communication of findings, the Product Analyst helps teams understand performance, identify opportunities, and improve outcomes. They collaborate across departments to advance analytical projects and continually refine reporting processes. What You’ll Do:
- Maintain, update, and refine product data classifications and taxonomy across all SKUs, including supporting new product launches, ensuring alignment with analytical needs, and collaborating with the operations team to understand system capabilities for strategic analysis.
- Oversee internal databases by conducting monthly refreshes, historical updates, and implementing data validation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of industry and performance data.
- Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of reporting and analysis workflows.
- Execute and maintain analyses on key strategic categories and products, including monthly reporting, leveraging internal and external datasets (e.g., sales, NPD, market share) to identify trends and support business insights.
- Support complex, ad hoc, and exploratory analyses (ex: product opportunity analysis) by preparing datasets, conducting initial analyses, and developing visualizations to develop findings and identify insights.
- Pull, clean, and validate data across multiple sources, maintaining data structures and classifications, and supporting QA processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability of analysis and reporting.
- Translate data into clear insights and key findings to support recommendations and stakeholder decision-making.
- Build and maintain dashboards aligned to established frameworks, collaborating with technical teams to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery.
- Support cross-functional analytical initiatives by coordinating timelines, aligning inputs across teams, and tracking deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or related fields. Equivalent experience may be accepted.
- 2-3 years in data analysis, customer insights, research, or business intelligence.
- Working knowledge of data structures, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with data classification, basic analytical frameworks, and statistical concepts.
- Experience in retail/wholesale data or business concepts preferred; beauty industry experience a strong plus.
Schedule: Hybrid - requires onsite presence 3x per week at Benefit HQ
The target salary range for this position in California is $90,000 - $125,000 annually. The actual salary offered is based on market location and will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
