The Product Manager owns strategy, development, documentation, and the full lifecycle of assigned HealthDyne products and service offerings. This business-led, hands-on builder turns market needs into differentiated, patient-centered solutions that can be implemented and scaled reliably.
Working without an established product team, this individual will build practical product infrastructure, roadmaps, and governance while preserving speed to market. The role partners with internal leaders, clients, manufacturers, pharmacies, and external partners to align business plans, product economics, execution, and performance.
Success requires demonstrated business product development and management, end-to-end ownership, and influence across sales, technology, operations, implementation, and client services. This role owns the business product, not simply a software backlog.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own near- and long-term roadmaps for HealthDyne products. Build business cases and manage product P&L performance with finance and business leaders.
- Build phased product definition, documentation, and governance. Maintain the product catalog of features and configurations; distinguish standard, configurable, and development-required offerings. Create reusable, expert-validated documentation to reduce reliance on limited subject-matter expert capacity.
- Create governance around requirements gathering, lead cross-functional intake and triage based on revenue, client need, risk, effort, and operational impact. Document approve, defer, or decline decisions. Maintain roadmap commitments with owners, target releases, and success metrics. Structure process for documented approval, ownership, timelines, and support models for nonstandard commitments.
- Maintain the sales playbook for discovery, qualification, and pricing triggers, and the implementation guides. Provide product expertise for sales, account management, and client presentations; ensure commitments reflect approved capabilities.
- Own sales-to-implementation handoff and launch readiness, solution classification, reporting, patient communications, API and inventory dependencies, billing, and support ownership. Create a source of truth for approvals, milestones, scope, and change control; prevent informal scope changes.
- Coordinate new product launch execution with sales, technology, pharmacy operations, implementation, client services, and compliance partners. Validate business requirements, dependencies, and product readiness in a regulated environment. Deliver scalable solutions that improve patient access, therapy initiation, adherence, and experience.
- Own post-launch performance and optimization. Monitor time-to-launch, defects, reporting accuracy, API stability, patient communication accuracy, and client satisfaction. Combine market, financial, and operational data with stakeholder feedback to improve offerings and measure results against business cases.
- Maintain performance reporting, communication, and escalation owners throughout the lifecycle. Capture launch lessons and reuse validated requirements. Where approved, use AI-assisted transcripts and requirements reuse with appropriate safeguards and subject-matter expert validation, never replacing expert review.
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ in healthcare technology, pharmacy, PBM, or life sciences.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong technical background with experience in APIs, data integrations (FHIR, HL7, SFTP), and pharmacy transaction systems (NCPDP standards, RxClaim, ePost, or similar).
- Experience launching products in highly regulated environments with proven ability to navigate compliance requirements.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and patient-centric design.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organization, prioritization, and documentation skills; ability to build practical infrastructure and balance speed, quality, and disciplined governance.
- Understanding of manufacturer programs, including hub services, bridge/patient assistance, foundation and consigned/free goods, and direct-to-patient models. Familiarity with mail, specialty, DTP/DTE, and PBM offerings is valuable for the assigned portfolio.
- Excellent communication skills across business, technical, operational, and client teams. Technical fluency to coordinate APIs, integrations, and reporting dependencies; coding or deep interoperability expertise is not a primary qualification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant business tools; ability to maintain reliable documentation, reporting, and AI productivity tools.
