At Viaplay Group, we entertain millions of people every day through our streaming services, radio networks, and TV channels. We believe in the power of content not just as a way of telling stories and touching lives, but also expanding worlds.
We’re looking for the best people to join us on our journey. Right now, we’re searching for a Product Manager to join our Monetization & Experiences Product Area in our Stockholm office – are you ready to hit play on an exciting career change?
The Role
We’re looking for a commercially minded and experienced Product Manager to lead a team focused on advertising growth, monetization and new revenue opportunities within our streaming business.
You’ll own the product direction and roadmap for Viaplay’s advertising platform and monetization capabilities, connecting customer needs, commercial opportunities and technical platform development.
The mission covers both customer-facing advertising experiences and the capabilities behind them, including ad delivery, formats, audience and consent, measurement, reporting, and partner integrations.
You’ll join a dedicated cross-functional development team, including engineers and an Engineering Manager and ad-tech specialists. And also partner with other Product Managers, collaborate across Design, User Research, Data, Analytics, Ad Sales, Ad Operations, CRM and our local markets.
Together, you’ll build solutions that create value for our customers, deliver measurable commercial impact and scale across Viaplay’s markets and platforms.
What you'll do
Own and evolve the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Viaplay’s advertising platform and monetization capabilities
Identify and prioritize opportunities based on customer insight, behavioural data, commercial potential, and technical feasibility
Make clear trade-offs between short-term commercial opportunities and long-term platform development
Lead initiatives end-to-end, from discovery and opportunity assessment through delivery, evaluation and iteration
Develop business cases that connect customer value, revenue potential, technical investment, and expected outcomes
Partner with Design and User Research to shape advertising experiences that balance commercial impact with customer value
Work closely with engineers and ad-tech specialists to translate opportunities and constraints into scalable solutions
Define success metrics and use data to evaluate performance, guide investment decisions, and improve outcomes
Create alignment and momentum across Product, Technology, Data, Commercial teams and local markets
What we’re looking for
We understand that candidates may feel more confident in some areas than others, and we keep an open mind throughout our recruitment process. To thrive in this role, we believe you’ll bring strong Product Management experience and a track record of owning complex products or platform capabilities from strategy through delivery.
Successful candidates also meet all or some of the following:
Digital Advertising and Ad-Tech
3+ years of Product Management experience within streaming or video advertising, programmatic or display advertising, ad platforms, audience products, measurement, attribution or digital monetization
A solid understanding of advertising ecosystems, including inventory, ad delivery, targeting, audience activation, consent, measurement, and commercial packaging
Revenue and Monetization
Experience creating or scaling revenue-generating products, advertising formats, monetization capabilities or commercial offerings
An ability to balance revenue growth with customer experience and assess opportunities based on value, potential and required investment
Measurement and Analytics
Experience using data and customer insight to guide investment decisions, prioritize opportunities, and measure impact
Knowledge of tracking frameworks, measurement strategies, attribution, product analytics, experimentation, and success metrics
Product Leadership and Stakeholder Complexity
Experience setting product direction, managing a roadmap and leading cross-functional product development
An ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities and create alignment across teams, functions and markets
Strong communication skills, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity and communicate decisions and trade-offs clearly.
We believe the right person is
You’re someone who creates direction and momentum rather than waiting for perfect conditions.
You’re likely to be:
Commercially minded – you naturally connect product decisions to business outcomes
Energetic and proactive – you see opportunities and take action
Structured and organised – you bring clarity to complex problems
Comfortable with change – you thrive in fast-moving environments
Strategic and hands-on – you can zoom out to see the bigger picture and zoom in to make things happen

Most importantly, you’re excited by the opportunity to build something new and help shape the future of advertising and monetisation in a digital media business.
