Backed by leading fintech investors including QED Investors, Fika Ventures, TTV Capital, and Bling Capital, Payabli is setting the standard for embedded payments infrastructure powering the next generation of vertical SaaS.
We're seeking a Senior Product Manager, Platform to own and evolve the foundational services that every product at Payabli depends on. From identity and authentication to embedded components, tokenization, and notification systems—you'll be the connective tissue between engineering and the rest of the organization, ensuring our platform is secure, scalable, and built to last.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage from the sidelines. You'll run to the fire, own the outcomes, and build the infrastructure that makes everything else at Payabli possible.
Identity & Access Management Lead the strategy and execution of our identity platform, spanning both authentication and authorization. You'll define how users and API consumers prove who they are and what they're allowed to do—two fundamentally different problems that require distinct architectures. This includes SSO management, multi-tenant permissions models, and API authentication and authorization. You understand that identity is the front door to every product we build.
Embedded Components & Creator Suite Own the foundational suite of embeddable components that our platform partners use to build financial experiences. You'll drive the strategy for our component library—from white-labeled UI elements to drop-in workflows—ensuring our partners can go live faster with less engineering effort. This requires experience building embeddable systems and a deep appreciation for developer experience.
Tokenization Services Own the cross-cutting tokenization layer that serves multiple product lines. Tokenization underpins payment security, funding account protection, and data privacy across the entire platform. You'll work across teams to ensure a unified approach to sensitive data handling that scales with our growth and meets compliance requirements.
Communications & Compliance Own the notification system and communication channels that keep our platform running. This includes managing SMS as a channel—including 10DLC compliance in the US—email delivery, and other messaging infrastructure. You understand that communication channels aren't just features; they're regulated services that require proper compliance management and ongoing maintenance.
Logging, Observability & Data Drive the platform's logging infrastructure, observability capabilities, and data dashboard foundations. You'll ensure that internal teams and platform partners have the visibility they need to operate with confidence—from debugging transaction flows to monitoring system health and building meaningful analytics.
API Ecosystem & Developer Experience Champion the overall health and usability of our API ecosystem. You'll partner with engineering on API design, versioning, governance, and documentation—ensuring that both internal teams and external partners can build reliably on our platform. The developer experience is your product.
• 5+ years in product management with deep experience in platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining foundational platform services (identity/auth, APIs, SDKs, notification systems, or similar)
• Track record of shipping API-first products in a B2B SaaS or multi-tenant environment
• Experience with authentication and authorization systems (OAuth, SSO, RBAC/ABAC, API key management)
• Familiarity with embeddable/white-label component systems and developer experience optimization
• Experience working in regulated industries (fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure) is a strong plus
• Understanding of tokenization, data security, and PCI compliance concepts
• Ability to partner deeply with engineering on API design, data models, and system architecture
• Understanding of cloud identity services (AWS Cognito, Auth0, or similar) and their tradeoffs
• (Nice to have) Familiarity with messaging compliance (10DLC, carrier regulations) and communication channel management
We think you'll love being part of our team because
At Payabli, you'll have a front row seat into building a high-growth venture backed fintech company. As a senior leader in Operations, you'll shape how the organization scales and be the driving force behind our AI-first operations strategy — directly influencing how we build, automate, and optimize for the future. You'll stretch yourself every day, learn a ton, grow alongside the company, and have a lot of fun building Payabli with us. We're a values driven company that cares deeply about our team, partners, and customers. Our north star values are:
🤝 Team Love = Customer Love — You understand that when you build great products for your internal partners, they deliver exceptional experiences to merchants. You obsess over the platform partners and businesses that depend on every payout landing on time.
🔥 Run to the Fire — When ACH returns spike or a card program hits a snag, you're the first one in the war room. You don't shy away from hard problems—you chase them. You volunteer for the complex, messy challenges others avoid.
🔍 Little Things Count — You sweat the details because you know a single decimal error in a payout can damage a business. You double-check edge cases, validate every assumption, and understand that excellence lives in the details.
💎 Truth Seekers — You give direct feedback, receive it with grace, and never let ego get in the way of finding the right answer. You document what you don't know, admit mistakes quickly, and hold yourself accountable in the open.
🚀 Relentlessly Curious — You're constantly asking "what if?" and "why not?" You study how competitors solve problems, explore adjacent industries for inspiration, and never stop learning about the payments ecosystem.
