easyJet is hiring a Product Manager to own end-to-end strategy and delivery of crewing and standby products — real-time crew legality/flight-time checking, standby and reserve pool allocation, call-out and crew notification — used by crewing controllers in a 24/7 airline operation, leading a cross-functional squad and managing vendor relationships.
At easyJet, we are on a mission to transform our integrated Planning and Operations into a world class digitally optimised operation, through the use of new and emerging technologies.
We are looking for a Product Manager to join the growing team, taking end-to-end accountability for products within a wider product group, working alongside the Senior Product Manager, fellow Product Managers and the business teams who rely on these products every day.
Product and its ways of working is new to easyJet, and we are looking for people who are able to help us mature our capability as we journey through the skies together!
This role sits at the intersect between the business, technology teams and our customers, and will really make the difference. The team is highly specialised in emerging technologies and importantly understands how planning, operational and commercial decisions connect in a rapidly changing landscape.
JOB PURPOSE
As a Product Manager in the Crew Readiness and Planning product group, you will own the strategy, development and delivery of one to three products that keep the published roster flying — making sure every duty, every day, is covered by a crew member who is legal, qualified and in the right place.
Your focus within the group is crewing and standby\: the products crewing controllers use to track crew against their rosters and to re-crew the operation when sickness, delay, disruption or a duty running out of hours breaks the plan. Your scope covers real-time legality and flight time limitation checking, fatigue and discretion reporting, management of the standby and reserve pools including allocation and call-out, crew notification and acknowledgement, the positioning, transport and accommodation changes that follow a re-crew, and the evidence that tells the airline how much standby cover it actually needs, at which bases and at which times of day.
This is the sharp end of crew planning. Decisions are made in minutes, on incomplete information, with immediate consequences for on-time performance, cost and crew trust, in an operation that never closes. Your products have to make the legal answer unambiguous and the best operational and commercial option visible quickly, and leave a clear record of why each decision was taken. The ambition is to move crewing from reacting to shortfalls to anticipating them hours or days ahead, so that cover is arranged before the operation is exposed rather than after.
You own the execution of the roster on the day; how the roster is built and published sits with Pairing and Rostering, and part of your value is the evidence you feed back to them and to Crew Planning about where the plan does not survive contact with the operation.
Working closely with the Senior Product Manager and the Head of Technology, you will take full accountability for your products across their whole lifecycle — setting the vision, defining the roadmap and leading the cross-functional team that delivers it. That team, made up of engineers, analysts, Data Scientists and delivery partners, will rely on your leadership to ensure every product decision is grounded in customer insight, operational efficiency and commercial value. You will also contribute to the strategy of the wider product group, making sure your products earn their place within it.
This is a highly collaborative role. You’ll work closely with Crewing Control and Network Operations Control, Crew Planning, Flight and Cabin Crew leadership and base management, Crew Training, Ground Operations, Flight Safety and fatigue risk management, Finance and People, as well as the software and service partners behind these products, translating complex business challenges into clear priorities and value-focused roadmaps. You’ll align your product strategy with the group roadmap and broader corporate objectives, ensuring your plans support both near-term delivery and long-term transformation. You’ll provide clear, data-driven insight that informs decisions at group and portfolio level.
This role is ideal for a hands-on product thinker who thrives in a high-volume, high-impact environment and can balance a compelling product vision with day-to-day execution.
