Lead end-to-end design of vehicle human-machine interfaces (HMI) at Applied Intuition, from concept through production — partnering with OEMs, product managers, and engineers on embedded software and companion-device designs shipped in fast release cycles. Requires 7+ years designing embedded/consumer-facing products with strong visual and interaction design skills.
You will lead the design lifecycle for vehicle human-machine interfaces from concept through production. You will work with OEMs to identify use cases and pain points, validate embedded software and companion-device designs, and ship features in rapid release cycles.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design lifecycle from concept to production
- Interact with OEMs to identify target use cases and consumer pain points
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers on embedded software and companion-device designs
- Create and validate design solutions
- Ship new features in fast release cycles
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with embedded devices and consumer-facing products
- Bachelor's degree in design or a relevant field
- Visual design skills
- Interaction design skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
