About Fouress Synergy
Fouress Synergy is a dynamic, fast-growing international trading company
specializing in global industrial commodities. We are seeking a strategic,
commercially sharp, and results-driven Procurement Team Lead to join our
team onsite in South Korea.
In this role, you will lead our global sourcing, procurement, and supply
chain operations for our core portfolios: polymers, metals, chemicals and alcohol. You will act as the vital, fast-paced bridge between our globally
distributed sales teams and international manufacturing partners to drive
commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Sales Coordination & Real-Time Pricing
- Multi-Region Coordination: Act as the
central procurement hub for a sales team based all over the world,
seamlessly aligning across multiple time zones to support regional market
needs.
- Instant Price Dissemination: Provide
immediate, accurate product pricing to the sales team to ensure swift
customer quoting and capture fast-moving market opportunities.
- Target Price Matching: Aggressively
negotiate with suppliers to match target prices requested by sales,
minimizing margin slippage while securing high-volume deals.
2. Supply Chain & Cost Optimization
- Sourcing Strategy: Design and
execute advanced supply chain optimization strategies by evaluating
critical sourcing shifts to Low-Cost Countries (LCC).
- Volume Consolidation: Analyze and
consolidate purchasing volumes globally to maximize purchasing leverage
and capture economies of scale.
- Supplier Allocation: Strategically
reallocate production and order distributions across a diversified
supplier network to mitigate risks and protect margins.
3. Lead Time, Inventory & Total Cost Optimization
- Import Logistics: Optimize
end-to-end lead times and inventory management for imported bulk products
to improve supply chain responsiveness.
- Working Capital Efficiency: Structure
inventory buffers and delivery frequencies to lower carrying costs and
maximize working capital efficiency.
- TCO Framework: Develop and
implement procurement strategies based on the Total Cost of Ownership
(TCO) approach, striking an optimal balance between product cost,
logistics, customs, inventory carrying costs, quality, and operational
efficiency.
4. Supplier Quality & Delivery Performance
- Quality Assurance: Ensure stable,
reliable product quality standards by enforcing a strict supplier quality
management framework and continuous performance monitoring.
- OTD Performance: Proactively
manage supplier production schedules, factory capacities, and raw material
inputs to guarantee industry-leading On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics.
- Continuity & Risk Management: Predict,
identify, and mitigate supply continuity risks, maintaining comprehensive
contingency plans for geopolitical, logistics, or operational disruptions.
5. Team Leadership & Operations
- Team Management: Lead, mentor,
and upscale a high-performing team of procurement specialists and buyers,
setting clear operational targets and KPIs.
- Cross-Border Communication: Act as the
primary liaison between Chinese manufacturers/suppliers and the South
Korean corporate office, utilizing native/fluent Mandarin to build
ironclad business relationships.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 5–8 years of
experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management,
ideally focusing on polymers, metals, chemical derivatives, or industrial
alcohol.
- Global Coordination: Proven ability
to collaborate effectively with cross-border, distributed sales or
commercial teams across multiple time zones.
- Leadership: Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience managing or leading a procurement or
purchasing team.
- Language Skills: Absolute
fluency in English and Mandarin (Spoken & Written)
is mandatory to communicate effectively with key regional supply bases.
- Technical Expertise: Deep
familiarity with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) financial modeling,
Low-Cost Country (LCC) sourcing strategies, and international trade
mechanics (Incoterms, shipping logistics, customs clearance).
- Education: Bachelor's
degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Chemical
Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Availability: Willingness to
work fully onsite in South Korea and travel internationally as required
for supplier audits and negotiations.
