Procurement Development Manager

Do you thrive in transformation environments and have the leadership capability to take procurement to the next level? We are looking for a Procurement Development Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of procurement within a leading international energy company.

About the Role

As Procurement Development Manager, you will own and deliver the Procurement Development roadmap, leading a multi-year transformation agenda across our global organization. You will work closely with senior leaders and business stakeholders to establish world-class procurement practices, strengthen organizational capabilities, and ensure procurement is recognized as a strategic business partner.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a global procurement transformation journey in a company that is actively contributing to the energy transition and helping build a more sustainable future. You will be responsible for driving procurement excellence across processes, governance, digitalization, capability building, ESG, and supplier management while influencing stakeholders across multiple countries, cultures, and business functions.

The position can be based in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Baar or Cressier depending on preferred location.

Key responsibilities

• Standardize and continuously improve Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and governance across the organization.
• Design and implement best-practice procurement policies, frameworks, and playbooks that can be applied across countries, legal entities, and categories.
• Develop and maintain procurement tools strategy, including solutions such as eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, supplier portals, and analytics platforms.
• Establish common procurement data standards, KPI frameworks, and performance reporting structures to enable global transparency and comparability.
• Drive change management and adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across Procurement, Finance, Operations, and the wider business.
• Lead and inspire a highly diverse and international team, creating a culture of growth, collaboration, courage, and continuous improvement.

We offer

At VAROPreem, you will join a welcoming and collaborative workplace where trust, personal responsibility, and professional development are highly valued. As the energy sector undergoes its most significant transformation in decades, you will have the opportunity to contribute to both today's energy needs and tomorrow's more sustainable solutions.

We offer a high degree of autonomy and encourage employees to take initiative, challenge established ways of working, and help shape the future of our business.

About you

You are a strategic and transformational leader who thrives on challenging the status quo and translating vision into tangible business results. You combine deep procurement expertise with strong commercial acumen, a data-driven mindset, and exceptional relationship-building skills.

You are confident influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complex environments, while remaining pragmatic, collaborative, and focused on bringing people along the transformation journey. With your leadership experience and ability to inspire others, you create engagement, build high-performing teams, and drive sustainable change across international organizations.

Requirements

We believe you bring:

• Extensive experience within procurement, procurement development, organizational development, transformation, or functional excellence.
