Designs, develops, and maintains embedded C/C++ firmware for 3-phase smart electricity meters, including metrology calibration, DLMS/COSEM protocol integration, tamper detection, and low-level drivers for peripherals like SPI, I2C, and UART on ARM Cortex/TI/Renesas microcontrollers.
We are seeking an experienced Embedded / Firmware Developer (3–8 years) to
design, develop, and maintain high-performance firmware for next-generation
smart metering solutions. In this role, you will focus on 3-phase meter
development, metrology calibration, and advanced communication protocols to
strengthen our core development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Firmware Design: Develop, test, and debug low-level embedded software
using C/C++ on micro controllers (e.g., ARM Cortex, TI, Renesas).
- Metering & Metrology: Implement and calibrate metrology algorithms for
accuracy in 1Ph and 3-phase energy measurement.
- Protocol Integration: Integrate and maintain DLMS/COSEM
communication protocols and smart grid standards.
- Tamper Management: Design firmware logic for robust tamper detection,
anti-theft mechanisms, and event logging.
- Hardware Interfacing: Write drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, RTC, and
external flash memories.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and
functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on best practices.
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and system integration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in embedded C/C++
firmware development.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record in the electricity metering industry
(specifically 3-phase meters).
- Protocol Knowledge: Deep understanding of the DLMS/COSEM protocol
stack.
- Core Skills: Solid experience with metrology processing, power
management, and tamper-handling logic.
- Tools: Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and hardware
debuggers (JTAG/SWD).
