Overview

In this role you will help build and extend data pipelines and event streaming for the largest equities exchange in Europe, plus trade reporting platforms. You’ll lead cross-system projects and mentor developers while maintaining high-quality, testable Python code. You will collaborate with business and sales to shape new products and features, and participate in R&D to adopt promising technologies. This is a hands-on leadership role in a tight-knit team driving mission-critical market infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business development and sales to shape new products and features
Design and build reliable, testable Python systems for trading operations
Lead complex projects and coordinate across Europe and the United States
Mentor other developers and lead debugging of challenging engineering problems
Participate in R&D to identify and implement new technologies
Provide production support and contribute to incident reviews and follow-up actions

Key requirements

Expert Python knowledge
Commitment to writing testable, maintainable code
Proficiency with advanced SQL techniques
Deep Linux knowledge
Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Experience with TDD/BDD or other testing methodologies (highly preferred)
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Snowflake (preferred)
Familiarity with Django, Flask or FastAPI (preferred)
Familiarity with Apache Kafka (preferred)
Familiarity with Apache Airflow (preferred)
Familiarity with Java (preferred)
Experience in one or more relevant financial areas (preferred)
