Overview
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Principal Product Manager to lead product strategy, monetization, and innovation for technology solutions serving assisted living and memory care communities. In this senior role, you will define product packaging, pricing, and billing strategies that demonstrate measurable return on investment for senior living operators. You will partner closely with AI, machine learning, data, hardware, software, and finance teams to develop intelligent solutions that improve resident safety and empower caregivers with actionable insights. Your work will shape the evolution of AI-powered voice experiences, real-time alerts, and personalized resident monitoring capabilities. You will establish clear performance metrics that connect technical accuracy and product reliability to tangible improvements in care quality, staff efficiency, and operational outcomes. Combining customer discovery, commercial strategy, and technical product leadership, you will drive adoption and sustainable business growth. Accountabilities
- Own product strategy for assisted living and memory care: Define the strategic direction, differentiation, and roadmap for solutions serving senior living communities, ensuring products address customer needs and deliver measurable business and care outcomes.
- Drive product adoption and customer ROI: Establish clear success metrics and demonstrate the value of products for operators, community executives, caregivers, and residents through improved safety, response times, and workforce efficiency.
- Lead packaging, pricing, and monetization: Own end-to-end product packaging, pricing, and billing strategies, including product modularity, willingness-to-pay research, pricing validation, consent capture, and accurate billing in collaboration with Finance.
- Translate AI and machine learning capabilities into customer value: Partner with AI and machine learning teams to define product requirements, roadmaps, and success criteria that connect model performance to meaningful real-world outcomes.
- Establish and improve product quality metrics: Define and monitor key indicators such as recall, precision, alert reliability, and location accuracy, ensuring technical performance supports timely, relevant, and actionable information for caregivers.
- Advance AI-powered resident monitoring: Lead the expansion of AI voice experiences and the development of resident baselines that identify both short-term deviations and longer-term changes in resident behavior or condition.
- Connect insights to care planning: Develop strategies for integrating alert configuration with resident acuity and electronic health record (EHR) data, helping ensure that meaningful deviations can inform appropriate care plans and care-level adjustments.
- Coordinate cross-functional product development: Work closely with engineering, ML, data, platform, hardware, software, and finance teams to deliver complex products that balance customer impact, technical feasibility, operational reliability, and scalable costs.
- Lead customer discovery and market validation: Conduct customer interviews, on-site observations, and hands-on research to understand workflows, validate assumptions, identify unmet needs, and test product and pricing concepts.
- Optimize unit economics and commercial performance: Measure adoption, revenue realization, return on investment, and cost to serve, using quantitative insights to prioritize opportunities and improve long-term product sustainability.
- Drive product execution and continuous improvement: Apply disciplined discovery, prioritization, release planning, and performance measurement to deliver impactful products in a dynamic and evolving market.
Requirements
- Extensive product management experience: At least seven years of product management experience, including a minimum of three years in a business-to-business (B2B) organization.
- AI and machine learning product expertise: Demonstrated experience building products powered by large language models (LLMs) and other AI/ML technologies, including defining, evaluating, and improving model quality metrics such as recall and precision.
- B2B monetization experience: Proven ownership of product packaging, pricing, and monetization strategies, including willingness-to-pay testing, pricing validation, and measurement of realized revenue.
- Strong strategic product thinking: Ability to reason from first principles, identify high-impact opportunities, translate customer problems into clear product strategies, and maintain disciplined discovery and release practices.
- Quantitative and analytical mindset: Experience measuring product adoption, customer ROI, unit economics, and business performance, with the ability to use data to guide prioritization and demonstrate outcomes.
- Hands-on customer discovery skills: Comfort independently conducting customer interviews, observing real-world workflows, gathering feedback, and translating insights into actionable product decisions.
- Cross-functional technical leadership: Ability to collaborate effectively with ML, data, engineering, hardware, software, platform, and finance teams to deliver complex products and align technical capabilities with business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts, AI capabilities, and performance metrics in clear, commercially relevant terms for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ownership and adaptability: A proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Customer-centric decision-making: A commitment to understanding customer needs and connecting product capabilities to measurable improvements in safety, care delivery, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous:
- Experience in healthcare technology, senior living, assisted living, or memory care.
- Experience developing AI-powered products that combine software, hardware, and real-time device data.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) integrations and healthcare data workflows.
- Previous people management experience or experience mentoring and developing other product professionals.

- Competitive compensation: For U.S.-based remote positions, the annual base salary range is $246,000–$315,000. For Canada-based remote positions, the annual base salary range is CA$290,000–CA$300,000. Compensation is determined by location, relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
