Presales Consultant (Cloud & IT Solutions)

About the role

We are looking for a customer-focused Presales Consultant to work closely with our Sales team in designing, positioning and presenting cloud and enterprise IT solutions. This role bridges customer requirements, technical solutioning and commercial considerations. You will be involved across the presales lifecycle, from discovery, solution design through proposal, presentation, POC and handover to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support customer discovery sessions to understand business and technical requirements.

• Translate customer pain points into practical, scalable and cost-effective solutions.

• Design and propose end-to-end solutions across cloud, infrastructure and security domains.

• Confidently deliver technical presentations, solution walkthroughs, product demos and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to customers.

• Develop technical proposals including architecture diagrams, solution write-ups, sizing and costing estimates.

• Work with Sales, vendors, distributors and internal technical teams to validate solutions, pricing and feasibility.

• Support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, Statements of Work (SOWs) and tender submissions.

• Provide solution options and explain technical, operational and commercial trade-offs to customers.

• Coordinate with delivery and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions can be implemented successfully.

• Stay updated on cloud technologies, vendor solutions and market developments.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in Presales, Solutions Engineering, Solution Architecture or Technical Consulting within cloud or enterprise IT.

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, with AWS preferred; Azure or GCP exposure is an advantage.

• Comfortable engaging customers directly and leading technical discussions.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt discussions for technical teams, operational stakeholders and management.

• Able to understand customer pain points and independently recommend suitable solution options.

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and clearly explain the reasons and trade-offs behind recommendations.

• Experience in solution design, proposal preparation, costing and customer presentations.

• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, backup, DR and managed services concepts.

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment.

Good to Have

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or Cloud Operations.

• Experience working in a System Integrator, MSP, cloud service provider or similar environment.

• Experience in AWS migration, cloud modernization or managed services.

• Exposure to security, monitoring, observability or infrastructure solutions.

• Experience supporting tenders, RFP/RFI/RFQ and SOW preparation.

Why Join Us

• Mondays made better! Work from Home every Monday.

• Broader exposure – Work across cloud, infrastructure, security and managed services rather than being limited to a single product or technology.

• Real customer involvement – Be involved in customer discovery, solution design, presentations, POCs and proposals.

• End-to-end ownership – See opportunities through from initial requirements to solution design and handover to delivery.

• Grow your cloud expertise – Gain hands-on exposure to AWS and other cloud technologies, with opportunities for technical enablement and certifications.

• Work closely with Sales and Technical teams – Your recommendations directly influence how solutions are positioned and delivered.

• Opportunity to make an impact – As part of a growing team, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve how we work and take on greater responsibility as you grow.
